It is time we stop claiming Florida and Pittsburgh as good wins

I am convinced some people are already bored with being good again so they sit at home and try to think of something to gripe about. I couldn’t care less if these wins are considered good wins. We’ve played every game on the schedule and we’ve won them all. As the season goes on, some teams that were good, get worse. Sometimes it’s injuries and sometimes players quit, etc. I don’t care. That Florida team beat a quality Utah team. That LSU team seems better than I thought at the time while Pitt is worse than I thought at the time, so it goes both ways. We’ve won them all and beat at least 2 good teams, with 2 ranked teams coming up and the likelihood of USC jr being ranked. Our resume is better than any one else’s resume.

I am convinced that we are under siege from fake fan trolls.

I don't see anyone on here bragging about beating Pittsburgh. In fact, you are the only one talking about that game at all. Why are you bringing up two wins from September, when Tennessee has beaten LSU and Alabama in October ?

Is it really even worth discussing at this point? We’re ranked #3, regardless of how anyone feels about the Pitt and Florida wins. And we control our own destiny seven games into the season.

Every SEC game is a risky proposition, especially the road games. We just have to keep winning.

Perplexing that some “fans” feel better about trying to tear down the success this group has had to date.

If you really want to compare and use the current top 25 as the basis ... at this point Ohio State had not beaten any team that is "ranked" at this point in the season. Georgia has beaten 1, though there is a chance that this week South Carolina will be in the top 25. Michigan has beaten 1 (Penn State). Clemson has beaten 2, Wake Forest and Syracuse. Alabama has beaten 2 (Texas and Miss St) both of which may fall out of the top 25 leaving them with 0 (ZERO) wins against ranked teams. Tennessee has 2 (Alabama and LSU). TCU has also beaten 2 that will be in the top 25 next week.

If that is the criteria for the polls ... then the polls should probably have (1) Tennessee, (2), TCU, (3) Clemson, (4) Georgia, (5) Alabama, (6) Michigan, (7) Ohio State

Some teams are ranked because of who they are and what they did last year. Teams like Tennessee and TCU have to prove themselves to be ranked.

Why are you so fixated with making Tennessee look bad?

In the last 15 days, Tennessee has beaten LSU on the road by 27 points, and beaten Alabama at home while hanging 52 points on them. In the immediate aftermath of that kind of success, is a true Tennessee fan going to start a thread so we can lament not playing well vs Pittsburgh 6 damn weeks ago?

Just like with losses, the transitive property shouldn't apply to wins but it sometimes does unfortunately.

Oregon will be judged more favorably for their loss to UGA than we will for our wins against Pitt and FL.

... and as for the Florida game, someone who actually watched the game would know that Tennessee had the lead 38-21 with between 7-8 minutes left in the game. Heupel clearly eased off the gas pedal too soon. I'm not defending our performance at the end of that game... but it is ridiculous to suggest that the win over Florida should be considered "embarrassing," because Tennessee didn't win by 2 or 3 touchdowns ( per @volbound1700 ). I can't imagine a Tennessee fan saying that.

Oregon lost that game to Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium by 46 points. Kent State gave Georgia a much better game than that in Athens. I can't agree with you there. Sorry.
