It's a bad idea....

How do you feel about using defensive starters on offense?

Since AJ scored about 4-5 TDs last year, I don't see a problem with him being on offense!

If I recall right the beast package didn't do so hot there were a few times it worked but most of the time it was a wasted play if u ask me

I get so tired of everyone second guessing CBJ... Let him do his job. I'm pretty sure he knows more about our team than we do

I don't know if you are in the minority (I guess so according to the poll). I'd be for it if I thought it would help us win, but I don't think it is really necessary this year.

Absolutely necessary ? maybe not, but wouldn't you feel better about AJ on a 4th and 1 against UF's or Bama's front than you would Neal or Lane ? I believe I would.

I remember this different. I remember AJ getting td's and first Downs on 4th and short.

AJ sure beats that Cory Anderson fumble that lost a game to Alabama during the Fulmer downfall - oh wait, and the 4 failed 1 yard runs, that lost a game to UCLA during the Kiffin year. And what the heck, throw in the Foster fumble near the end zone that lost the Outback Bowl to Penn St.

For the record I didn't question it's use, I said I didn't like. I didn't even say it wouldn't be effective. It's just my opinion that under our current circumstances (being thin on defense) it's not worth the risk.

That's... basically the same thing. How are you not questioning something you don't agree with?

I dont like a lot of things but that doesnt mean the things I dont like cant be successful. I love everything about what Butch Jones has done since he's been here and me making the statement that I think its a bad idea to use defensive starters on offensive is basically saying I hope he doesnt do it. Sure if something goes wrong when they run it I can come back and say I told you so but I hope if we use it that it works. Instead of bit(hing about it afterwards or saying how great it is afterwards I prefer to let people know how I feel about it up front. By doing it this way it's not complaining because CBJ hasnt even run it yet.
