I'm excited about this [probable] hire, personally. It seems the only ones that are just bent out of shape about it are the ones that were the "Gruden or Bust" crowd.

I wasn't Gruden or bust.....if we got him...great....since we didn't, I wanted Patterson, Gundy or Davis....with Petrino as a long shot....no where happy about this (probable) hire

Swain is on board too. Just got off UL site..Strong got regional Coach of Year..1 of 5 for different regions. Other coaches were Kelly,Sumlin,Snyder and Riley. There is team meeting at 4:30 tomorrow. Many think it's players and admin discussing interim coach and direction from this point.

i liked Strong back when Kiffen and Dooley were hired,thought he was a good coach who should have gotten a shot at a HC job way before when he did,I would be pleased if he ends up as the HC here,

I personally don't agree with this hire. Not impressed with what he's done at Louisville in a weak Big East. Others will disagree, say he's a great recruiter. I'm not sold.

But I do know it's a step up from Dooley.

What is his buyout? Just had contract extension with buyout 2.5 million if he left before June 2012 with a minimum 1 million after this date.
