watching all you doubters change your tunes after Milton puts on a clinic Friday night.

GTFO with that baseball BS.

The man is our QB. Show a little respect around here.

Not really up to us but lots of folks are pulling for him. All he has to do is show he can get it done. Everything is in front of him for the taking. We’re going to find out Friday what he’s got against a good defense. If he is successful, that will go a long way to quiet the naysayers. If he doesn’t, the noise will get louder.

Is this deja vu? Didn't we already talk about Mighty Joe in another thread or three?

I pray he doesn’t throw his shoulder or elbow out trying to show how far he can throw any kind of ball. Show us you can control that arm and hit your receivers and you will get plenty of press.

Weird flex.

Would it be just as hilarious if you are proven wrong? Why the divisiveness? I think as fans we all want him to be successful, but the product on the field does not instill confidence. Not sure why OP chooses to criticize fans who are realists and not just blind enthusiasts.

This will legitimately be his toughest test to date. Clemson has a several future draft picks on the defensive side of the ball. They're probably the 2nd or 3rd best defense we've played all year.

Excited to see how he plays not only against a tough defense, but in a national spotlight game.

My worries don't rest on the offense unfortunately. While I have concerns about Milton, not hating cause I like him, I'm afraid our defense will be the problem. Hopefully, I'll be eating crow about that.
You will be eating crow. UTs defense will hopefully get some pressures and I am sure the D will not be letting Clemson run all over them.

I will be ecstatic if Milton hits the 7-12 yard across the middle passes all night long. I do not need him to hit the 70 yard pass like Hendo to Hyatt, just keep the Clemson def guessing and the offense moving.
That aint happn'n Bricks. JM will be throwing it deep often. No doubt about that.

Calling for JM to try out for baseball? That is not real.

No, it will not be funny at all if I am wrong.

Blue Font Missing?

Let me say this. I am rooting for him and hope you are right. He has had all the time and practices in the world(2 years now) to be ready for Friday night.

If he doesn’t preform it is time for all to realize he may never reach his potential and I pray that Milton come Saturday morning doesn’t become CJH’s downfall for believing he can turn Milton into something more than JG II with just one more year of teaching/coaching.

And no I’m not a Milton hater just a realist.

yes sir, and I am not afraid to eat crow myself. If he stinks it up, then so be it.

I just aint with the ones who already made up their minds, like they got some kind of crystal ball.
I wouldn’t go so far as already made up their minds. People are just basing it on what they’ve seen so far. You are hoping(and to be honest, me too) that he shows out. Dude is crazy talented. But got to do it on the field against live defenses. Not hitting a goalpost or tossing an orange. Let’s destroy Clemson and Milton passes for 3 hundie and 5 TDs

Hope you're right. I hope he lights the world on fire and has a better year than Hooker next year. I highly doubt that will happen but I'm not praying for his down fall. I just haven't seen any evidence of him being able to handle being a starting QB and having success.

Thanks for clearing that up because you sure sound like a "Milton hater"

I hope he becomes what we have to have to make this machine run at wide open speed. As far as showing him respect….he must earn his respect. He must put it all together. Have the arm and athletic ability his has is not enough. He must get his head in the right place to be the man. 🤞

This is correct. Milton is a phenomenal QB in terms of potential and physical attributes. The real issue is one of maturity and leadership. Milton acts a bit like a kid in a candy shop on the field. I remember him doing the "mooning" action to the coaches after the Kentucky game because he didn't get to air it out. Also, if you watch him he is always smiling at the coaches. He doesn't have the winning hunger that Hooker had. He needs to get that stuff put together and everything else will follow. My concern is that those things are not necessarily learned. Here is to Milton maturing and leading this team to victory.
