But their costs haven't. Can a restaurant at 25% capacity write a check for 25% of rent, water, power? What about the other 75% of employees who aren't needed? This charade is absolutely killing businesses
I don’t disagree which is where wearing a mask comes into effect. You can’t just say, well it’s not possible and just continue society as if nothing has changed. There is a reason South Korea, Japan, Germany, and others have faired better than the US considering their proximity to more widespread outbreaks and it isn’t just ignoring the problem. It is extremely common for South Koreans and Japanese citizens to wear masks in public. They did not shut down huge swaths of their economies down and have nearly eliminated transmission of the virus with much larger populations per square mile on average
