but it's been know for quite some time that Memphis was his destination. If there was any inkling of a doubt, they sealed that up at their Memphis Madness. They brought back Penny and had a tribute to him, where at the end of the video there was a closeup on Penny and he says something like "it makes it all that much sweeter when you're close to home" or something along those lines. Basically everything they did at Memphis Madness was catered to Adonis, thus the reason he announced shortly thereafter.

We got his teammate Jones, and missed on Thomas; such is life...

Remember Thomas said we were in the lead before he heard about the NCAA investigation and the sanctions

If we were to come off with a small punishment then he could possibly change his mind

Long way til NSD

It was pretty much done before that. The MM events were just icing on the cake.

Recruit Knoxville, we will recruit Memphis! Let's see who gets the best players! Adonis has no reason to go to UTK....

That "long way" is tomorrow morning at 10am at the Melrose Library.

Adonis is a Tiger... Just forget about it. We need to focus on five star DeAndre Daniels, who actually has interest in us...

We've gotten the "scraps" from Memphis (Prince, Bradshaw, etc.) and had no trouble winning 3 of 4 from Tiger High...

For real programs, regular season games and series records are meaningless. It's what happens in March.
Real quick, without looking it up, who won the UNC/Duke game last year? What about the Georgetown/Duke game? Wisconsin/Duke?

Now, who won the NC?

Quick, who got a final four vacated?

I was pointing out where he was talking about post season play, and how one of their years of post season play got taken away from them. (Which could happen to us as well)

I just don't think we should be trying to bust Memphis' chops on getting a Final Four vacated when we've never even made a Final Four and have a head coach who has been caught intentionally cheating and engaging in a coverup.

Come on now, don't you buy into the every body does it argument? Pear is just unlucky and got caught or turned in by jealous coaches??

So basically, UT can't even blatantly cheat and be successful.

The U of M went to the Final Four and did not cheat. The reason for the vacated status centers on Rose's ACT score. The ACT that he took PRIOR to setting foot on campus and which the NCAA Clearinghouse approved not once, but twice. NCAA could never prove Rose did not take his test. Anyone with a brain in their head, including many talking heads, agree that the vacated status is BS.

BS or not, it is vacated and the NCAA did indicate it was due to using a player that was not eligible to play.
