okay...my first post since the game. (I kind of went into hiding) I am really disappointed b/c this was such a winnable game. Saying that, it was only our first road loss of the year in conference. It's going to happen. I believe 5-3 down the stretch is very attainable, and If we win one or two in the tourney, we make dance no problem.

If we do somehow make the NCAA tourney, you know that they will put us in the toughest bracket, and have us playing the most difficult team for us to beat in the first round.:banghead2:

Here's my take. We have to win 6 out of the last 8 games to have a shot at the NCAA Tournament.

Georgia - W - Should be a win, but after the Auburn game, I wouldn't say anything is set in stone

Vanderbilt - W - I think this is a game that goes down to the wire.

at Ole Miss - L - I see a tough loss on the road for this team

at Kentucky - L - I see us worrying too much about Meeks, letting Patterson have a career game

Miss. State - W
- Another tough game, but a 5 point or under win

at Florida - L - If this is even halfway correct, I think we'll be looking at a 10 point loss.

at South Carolina - W - Another nailbiter, but a win for us.

Alabama - W - I'd say we could have a double digit win if our heads are screwed on right.

So, I think we'll go 5-3 over the rest of the regular season. Meaning we'll need to do some damage in the SEC tournament, likley starting out at a 3 or 4 seed in the East. A win puts us on the bubble, two wins in the SEC tourney gets us in.

20 or more wins gets us in because of our RPI. SEC will have 4 or 5 teams going and we will be one of them. But I see us going out in the first round. Just hope Tyler comes back, from what I have seen he needs to. If that happens we should dominate next year.

Tyler has hurt his stock this year that is for sure and I do think he will play harder because he knows he has to put up or he knows it is costing him $$$...I just want to see a little fire out of these kids...Wayne is the only one that shows emotion and that is not good...We need to play with fire and right now these kids do not have it...I think we get in but it will be slim

I agree with the record, but I think we get the W at Kentucky and L at South Carolina. A couple of wins in the SEC tourney would be icing on the cake.

Your RPI is so good that if you can get to 5-3 in that schedule, I have to think you are in. Plus UT is an exciting team to watch and I think if you are bubblish a hope for Pearl's antics gets you in.

I would worry about the South Caroilina game. They don't have a lto of quit in them and when that guard is hitting 3's, he can flat out score a bunch.

I project it will be Kentucky, UT and us from the East with possibly South Carolina depending on their finish.....from the West I only see LSU getting in at this point. Mississippi State could be there but I think the tourney takes SC over them if it comes down to it.

UT can't win close games against decent teams, because tourney style, slowed down games just don't work for our sloppy O and shoddy D.

We're 14-8, 5-3 in the SEC. If we win our 4 home games (UGA, Vandy, MSU, Bama) and split our 4 road games (Ole Miss, UK, Florida, USC), we go 20-10 and an 11-5 record in the SEC. I guarantee that would get us into the NCAA tourney. At 19-11 with a 10-6 SEC record considering our strength of schedule and RPI, we're still a lock. Barring a collapse, we're going dancing this year. What matters from here on out is seeding.
