Its time for a new era in UT football.

Don you can blame me, the coaches, the announcers, the fans, or whoever you want if it makes you feel better. I don't remember us playing OU or USC under Fulmer. And by the way they are just the flavor of the month. It used to be the Gators or the Dogs or LSU or Miami or Florida State? Were are those programs now? My point is you can't just pick out Johnny come lately programs and say we want to be them? Were you still comparing us to Oklahoma in 97 when we won the SEC and they were 4-8? Would you still trade with Oklahoma when they were 5-6 in 98 while we were winning the National Championship? Granted Stoops has had a good run in the 6 years he has been there. He has won a total of two conference titles in a conference that is on the decline. He may get another shot at a title this year. However I am sure if you were the OU AD you would have fired him last year after they got routed by Kansas St. in the Conference title game and then lost to LSU on top of that. As for USC you have got to be kidding. Before 2002 when was the last time they even won 10 games. UH 1988. If you want to be fans of those two teams I'll be glad to point you in the direction of a couple of other message boards that you may want to check out.

You TELL him, Freaky!!! He has his nose so far up Johnny Majors' butt that nothing this team has ever done, or ever will do will be good enough.

To Vol Freak, are you listening to the commentators laugh at the Vols? And check out the OU tradition, USC tradition before you get in my face. :finger: And to you Lady in Orange...bake a cake!

Who CARES about the commentators?? They love whoever is winning until they lose. Let 'em laugh. I never knew sports commentator respect was a prerequisite for being a TRUE fan.

Tradition? Bama has great tradition do you want to be them? I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

As for the commentators they have been up UGA's ass all year. But we are heading to Atlanta and the Dawgs are not. Guess UGA better fire Richt, 9-2 is unnacceptable. Not only that but they lost to a team at home who barely beat Kentucky and Vandy. I wouldn't even let him coach the bowl game if I was the UGA AD.

True fans also know when it's time for a change.

There's a difference between being a complete homer and knowing whats true and what's needed for this football program to move forward. Fulmer isn't the answer anymore.

We need a young energetic head coach with an offensive brain in his skull.

Most of those commentators played the game, at a high level, and vote in the polls tonight. Might we need to impress them with good tackling, blocking, and kicking game, which comes from the coaches TEACHING the game too our players . So what they say does have merit.

You might as well not get too upset because everyone knows that Fulmer and his staff are not going anywhere.

III I really just don't see how you would want to get rid of Fulmer. Who would you hire? Just curious.

I'll give you this much. I would be all for Fulmer shaking up the staff and bringing in some new blood. I don't think Fulmer will do that either though. He likes the continuity.

Oki. Lets look at this from Tommy Tuppervilles POV.

Which game tape do you study this week? The UK Game? The Vandy Game? The first meeting with UT? The UGA game? The Ole Miss game? The USC game? The BAMA game?

Which Tennessee defense is gonna show up? :good:

I am a HOMER to the BONE and PROUD of it!! I would rather follow a losing UT team than an UNDEFEATED anybody else!

So what's your point again??

Who knows. I'll tell you this. It's gonna be hard for Auburn to get fired up to play us after what they watched today. Let's hope that's the case.

And Vol Freak, about a quarter and a half into the SEC CG we will all wish UGA was playing in Atlanta. Will you be there? There are alot of great young coaches in college and the pros. Don't be afraid to make a move. And there are many coaches who would jump to take our program over at both levels.

I don't have any names, but a guy in the Urban Myer from Utah mold would be very nice. Someone who is young and offensive minded.

I like Fulmer, don't get me wrong. I'll always respect what he's done here. Especially in the 90's.

I just don't see the fire anymore.

Tommy Tuberville may be Auburn's second coming THIS year, but he was a phone call away from being fired last year. Anybody that expects any team to be the best every year is an Oklahoma fan who works for ESPN.

Exactly my point. Maybe CPF and Chavis are rtying to get into Auburn minds. Lets face it, its our only hope because if our defense is as bad as they have shwon the last 2 weeks, we wont mount much of a challenge. And it would explain the sudden disappearence of our defense.

Sorry I missed the pissing contest, I was too busy FREEZING MY WET @$$ OFF AT THE GAME!

You want to run Sanders out of town? The fault lies on the Defense, just like last week, just like the beginning of the season.

This has been coming for 2 years. I've kept my mouth shut up until now.

2 peach bowl losses to Clemson and Maryland, embarassing blowouts at the hands of Auburn, 4 losses in a row to Georgia, etc.

This isn't a 1 year thing for me.

Storm it was cold wasn't it. I had my kid with me and we had to leave early because we didn't dress warm enough. Nothing worse that wet and cold.

LIO, you crack me up!! :eek:lol: :eek:lol: :eek:lol:
