It's time to stop crying!

I never got the theory behind that whole thing.

If you don't want the team to think there is something special or different about Alabama, then why go out of your way to call them something different. Unless you refer to every team by their primary color, you are doing nothing but making it clear that there is, in fact, something special or different about Alabama.

Inbreeding comes to mind ... :p

Yes it was a pretty stupid thing for Butch to do, reminded me of Kiffin talking about singing Rocky Top all night long after we beat the Gators next season, when we were going there with walk-on linemen and a QB with a 30% completion average.

I'm sick and tired of people telling me if im not willing to accept *****ING and crying about the *****ING and crying in regards to other people *****ING and crying, that I should ***** and cry about another program.

There's no reason to ***** and cry about other people telling you that if you aren't willing to accept the *****ing and crying about other people *****ing and crying that you should go ***** and cry for another program.

I am so damn tired of being told if I am not willing to accept the failures of this program go support another program. Screw you.

You don't have to accept the failures of the program. But the rest of us don't have to abandon patience and perspective when analyzing a coach after 11 games either.

So, someone has said that you do ? demanded that you turn in your true fan card for your patience ?

No big guy....screw you!...and your "I'm mad and gonna pout because my team's not winning" attitude!

I am not mad anymore,I have not got mad over a lose in a long long time. I have come to expect it especially when we continue to make pathetic hires.

I agree that there were a couple of bad hires but if you gave Saban our current roster I'm not sure our record would be much better. (We would've beat Vandy/Georgia) but our overall talent compared to the SEC powerhouses simply doesn't measure up right now. I mean our team speed on defense and at offensive skill positions is simply way down. It's gonna take a COUPLE of REALLY good recruiting classes to solve this problem.

So you're on record with the opinion that Jones was a pathetic hire? Or are you talking about his coordinators?

Where you been? Since Saturday, the sky has been falling on a daily basis.

The sky started falling around here long before Saturday. I was just wondering if you've been told that you're not worthy of being a VOL fan because of your perspective the way a lot of posters like to tell posters that are critical at times of the direction of the program.

For the record I'm not advocating or agreeing with anything about firing CBJ and staff at this point but I do agree with a lot of fans that see some serious red flags and areas of concern with this staff and its game day management and can't understand why some people feel that gives them ammo to claim true fandom for themselves and differing opinions can hit the road.

In the last 6 seasons, UT is 32-41!

And yet there were still over 90,000 people at a cold November game! I'd say this fan base is very patient and starving for something good to happen.

For me, enough with the stupid cliches (brick by brick, team 117, referring to Bama as the red team) and simply go about doing the things needed to win.

Like recruiting?

I have never pretended our talent level is on the same level as SEC powerhouses but it is on level to beat Vanderbilt.

Which I eluded to as well. But there again a true freshman (sutton) lost technique on a "senior" all time SEC reception leader to put them in position to win. Does that not seem like a predictable outcome?

And doing something with them once you get them on campus!

You can recruit your butt off, but it has to produce results down the road.

Absolutely! The thing that frustrates me a bit with you TM3, Wylo and a few others is how quickly you've bailed on your support for what's going on currently. I agree that the Vandy loss is hard to deal with and maybe should have been a win (keep in mind that same team shellacked us last year) It's not necessarily indicative of the overall direction of the program.

I just feel that the frustration from multiple failures with coaching going back all the way to Fulmer's final years have created an environment where fans look at negative early results and immediately default to "it's coaching". It's actually much more than that currently and coaching may be the least of the problems. You guys dismiss that as excuse making though and refuse to open your mind to the notion that there may be some team deficiencies that simply can't be overcome by scheming and less than a year of player development. But I will say that blaming the coaches is definitely the easiest outlet for frustrated fans whether actually warranted or not (fake field goal excluded lol). I for one will take a wait and see approach and at least give CBJ another year or so before I begin passing judgement. It's just far too early to do otherwise.

Yeah...but it was the biggest offensive play of the game with the game on the line. Whatever man...you're refusing to see the big picture. I promise you it'll take at least two years for TN to be relevant again. So your options are 1.except that fact 2.find another program or 3.check back in two years. I promise you....it KILLS me to see us struggle, but I do think Butch will get things turned around. He will win a lot of recruits/parents over on the recruiting trail. That's where it all starts.

I just wanted to say a few words about our season and the state of our current program. Too many fans(myself included) have done way too much complaining,crying/whining, and *****ing for the last four years plus years! I haven't missed a single play since 1987. I've seen my fair share of ups and downs regarding our football teams, but when I stop and thing about where we are now as a fan base....it's just scary. We ALL want instant fixes, instant SEC contention, and instant talent upgrades. Well you know what...no amount of finger pointing, whining, crying, and/or *****ing is going to fix this problem in a year or even two! We are where we are due to several years of insufficient recruiting and coaching hires that simply didn't work out. I love my VOLS and want to win EVERY game...but as a "true fan" I support them unconditionally. This being said...I want to encourage our fan base to show more patience and support for our players and coaches. Let's face it...no one wants to turn things around more than them! I know many will jump at the chance to flame me...but you're the very ones that I'm referring to. So in closing....let's step up,stop with all the negativity (or simply go jump on board with another program!), and "TRY" to show more patience and support for our program. GO VOLS!

You sound like you like losing! Wake up!! The season is over and we were horrible!!! CBJ needs to step up in 2014 and show improvement for all the money he is being paid. He needs to be held accountable!!
