Since the head of the CFP committee said there would be no change in standings where teams are already done , going forward it will be UT at OSU in the first round.

I’m not 100%, fairly confident but not 100%. What if Georgia whips Texas in the SEC championship game by 25-30 points and they look awful, or vice versa?? Does that put one of those teams behind TN? Or in between Ohio State and TN? Who knows

That was in reference to the likes of South Carolina and Ole Miss, teams out of the bracket with no games to play. The only teams that aren’t currently in the field but still have a chance are Clemson and Iowa State. Conference champ losers can still fall.

He didn't say that. He said teams currently OUTSIDE the bracket can't move in.

He didn't say there can't be movement within the bracket.

That's NOT what he said. He said no teams playing couldn't effect others not playing. Meaning Miami couldn't jump Ala, not could we jump Ohio St without playing. But, Clemson winning would knock Ala out, Penn St and GA losing could drop them down. Especially if they get blown out. That's all he said

Bring it on, ain’t nobody gonna give us nothing, ESPN don’t like us anyways. We gotta go out there and show everybody that we’re for real.
Exactly. We control our own destiny.

The committee can’t block James Pearce. They can’t tackle Dylan Sampson. They can’t make a catch against Jermod McCoy.

We just have to impose our will and dominate every facet of the game. Celebrate. Then do it again.

No it will be Vols vs Penn State if Oregon beats Penn State. Penn state will fall behind Ohio state if they lose. If Georgia loses then we probably host Georgia. We shall see soon!

That’s it 100%. I hope that’s the attitude that our team has and they are jacked and ready to play and I hope that we stomp a mud hole in wherever it is we gotta go.

No he said the team not playing will stay in the order, the teams playing can move depending on the results of the games. Georgia gets beat by 20 they will drop a ways and everyone would move up

but if everyone moves up, that includes the teams not playing

I think the quote was not penalizing conference runners up (meaning moving them out of the playoffs)

Of course the rankings and seedings will change, about which there has been entirely too much confusion this year.

Again, no. He answered a question about teams outside the bracket that are not playing, like ole miss. His answer was that they can't move in bc theyre not playing.

It doesn’t make any sense though. Conference Champions get a bye and are locked in. They haven’t played those games yet. So if one of the projected locks losses their championship game then they will drop, not out of the playoffs though. Also Clemson can win the Championship and also be a lock, and SMU will drop to first round and Bama kicked out, or SMU drop all the way out.

He was dumb for saying it because it’s very much possible that things change.
