Why can’t they do that? Clemson now has a better record than Bama, SCAR, and Ole Miss. Miami has one fewer loss, but Clemson won the conference that Miami is in, so it’s actually easy to support moving Clemson to 11 and dropping SMU to 12.

Why does Clemson’s ceiling have to be behind SCar? UT was behind Bama in 2022 in the CFP rankings despite the head to head victory. There’s not a rule that stats you can’t pass someone you lost to. Clemson can easily be the 11 seed (5th ranked conf champ) and SMU the 12. The only thing that makes a conf champ 12th is if they’re ranked outside the top 12 in the final rankings. The committee may say Clemson is the 10th or 11th best team in the country now in their eyes and choose to rank them there. Obviously if they’re ranked 13th in the final rankings then their ceiling is the 12 seed.

Ok so you’re admitting that there’s precedent. Clemson is now a P4 champ with a top 8 win and 2 losses to top 15 teams. Their resume is different than it was a week ago.

There is Bama precedent. Just like with FSU the next year.

Let's see it applied to non Bama teams before calling it "precedent"

Can absolutely win this game … just hate we didn’t get a home game . Neyland would be incredible deafing with noise. We just have play smart ball n cut the stupid penalties out. Need get out in front first and turn it over to our defense
