Why can’t they do that? Clemson now has a better record than Bama, SCAR, and Ole Miss. Miami has one fewer loss, but Clemson won the conference that Miami is in, so it’s actually easy to support moving Clemson to 11 and dropping SMU to 12.

They were never going to move Clemson up 6 spots in rankings by winning a de facto home game at the end against SMU. Especially when they lost at home to a team ahead of them a week before. And moving them past teams with better records like Miami. And for Clemson to be 11, ASU would have needed a similar bump.

I actually think night games are pretty rare in most of the B1G in the winter. Nobody REALLY wants to play outside in Madison WI in December. Seriously, I don't think they schedule a lot of night games up there after mid-Nov or so.

I took a quick look I didn't see any recent December games for them in Ohio. Their last game is usually Michigan which has been a Noon game for a long time.

I don't see weather as an advantage for them.

Weather forcast is for a high of 39 and a low of 33 with possible rain showers. Could be pretty miserable. I think it gets a bit windy in th shoe also.
