I don't want CCM fired after the year now. Why pay his buyout and have to pay a new HC and staff next year when this team will be just AWFUL? This is a .500 team at best next year no matter whose coaching, so let's make CCM suffer through it and then can him after next season. That way we also give him a full 4 years.

The fall in attendance if he is here next year will out weight the money we save by keeping him. And I'm not sure I can stand another year of his mumbling interviews.

You're right, attendance will be terrible next year, but the admin almost deserves it for making this hire. Like I keep saying - you cannot shop for a Rolex at Wal-Mart, which is what our athletic dept continues to try to do with ZERO success.

I don't think you have much to worry about. This team will probably need to go no worse than 9-3 in the last 12 and win probably 2 SEC tourney games to get in and that ain't happening.

Don't know much about him, other than who his dad is. We haven't done real well lately hiring sons of famous coaches.

I think Richard, if he continues to have some success in the big 10, is going to hold out for his Dads job.
If we could hire him, he would leave for the Louisville job.

Most likely you will get a chance to see him coach come March. MN is 15-5 with losses to Mich. St, Iowa and Syracuse, 3 ranked teams. Wins over OSU and Wisc.

Not sure we have the $$$$ to lure him away after 1 year.

I think he was the safest hire available which is why he is here. Bruce Pearl's actions nearly brought the NCAA hammer down on us and UT needed to have someone squeaky clean for a while.

How much fall is enough?
When do empty seats start affecting the pocketbook?
Acceptance of mediocrity is the very thing that killed our football program and fans filled the seats long after we had 2 feet in the grave.

I will not renew my tickets next year to watch this dreadful coach. I probably will only go to a couple of the remaining games this year. It's a waste of my time and money to go.

He has the background and training to excel as a head coach...but whatever he's doing isn't working. I wouldn't be shocked to see him take a lower job, like his old Mo State gig, reevaluate and retool his teaching methods,GET ON SOME CAFFEINE PROGRAM and be prepared for his next big shot...it's just not in Knoxville

Feel the same way. I don't think I'm going to anymore games this year. Why drive a couple of hours just to be disappointed or bored to death by style of play?

Mike Hamilton hired Cuonzo.

Vols should take a serious look at Coach Will Wade at UTC. He's doing things at UTC similar to what CBP did in his first year in Knox, getting players that don't even fit his system to outperform their level of talent. Wade is a former Shaka Smart assistant. Vols admin would do themselves a favor to take notice of what's going on in Chattanooga right now.

EDIT: Last night's UTC vs UNC-G game had 6,684 attendance, highest in the SoCon this year.
