Corvette. Usually old guys. Thecar had been around 50years. Do people get older and wake up wanting a Corvette

Maybe because older people are more likely to be able to afford one than younger people

Nah, I know lots of 20 - 30 somethings with similarly priced cars. I think Corvettes are just thought of as mid-life crisis mobiles.

I have wondered this about car shows and gun shows as well. Who is going to be buying these older cars in 20-30 years? I’m not saying they aren’t nice, but I don’t know anyone my age with a real interest in them. Same with military surplus guns or those expensive Winchester lever actions from the 60’s western days. Go to a show for cars or guns and it’s three quarters guys with white hair piddling around. They are guys who grew up coveting these cars as kids and now can afford them. They have a direct connection to them, current generations don’t have that.

Now, every now and then I will see a younger woman, usually blond, driving one....probably curtesy of her sugar daddy.

Well I'm 38 and if I ever win Millions in the Lottery a Corvette isn't even in my Top 5 Chevrolet's I would want to buy or Top 10 overall.

Out of curiosity, why the hate? I drove my friend's father-in-law's a little while back and was honestly a little intimidated. That's a lot of power. My only gripe was the difficult view over the hood.

I am 35 and would strongly consider buying a 'Vette if I were buying a car in that price range.

It does sort of seem like an old guy car, but I think the age thing has more to with means than taste.

When I was in my 20s I swore I needed a Ferrari. Loved those things. Knew I needed to make it a mission to buy one. Now that I'm a fitty-sumpin, it's not even on my radar. Even if I had that kind of extra cash just lying around, I could think of a hundred things I'd rather spend it on. Somewhere along the way it just stopped appealing to me.

I assume we are talking new.

How many 35 year olds do you see rolling around in $60,000 cars?

I don’t care for dodges. But I’d probably throw out the coin on a demon.

I'd throw A coin out for a Dodge, but that's about it.

I don't like Vettes either, most men that drive them seem to be compensating for something.

As far as $60,000 cars go, there are faster, more luxurious, and more reliable cars for the money. Buying a toy that's that much money until you're financially secure is a ridiculous endeavor.
