Try to change the topic if you like but there is zero evidence that in this particular case, Gonzalez had anything to do with the FBI deciding not to pursue the Foley issue based on the emails they saw -- the same evidence that Hastert has.

Priceless....let's deal with the guy in there now. Can we not stick with the present instead of talking about Hoover? Is Gonzales now basing his actions on Hoover? Get the pumps and the dresses out....the Religious Right will really love Alberta.

Hastert has a vested interest in the page program. He is in charge of it. If one of his caucus writes strange emails to a page that obviously caused concern or it would not have been passed up and around like it was, you'd think he'd do a little more than just have a brief chat with the man in question and ask him to drop it.

Take the FBI out if you want. This still does not excuse Hastert's actions. Even Shelly Moore Capito , the third member of the Page panel and a Republican, was quite upset she was not even told of this. If there was nothing to be concerned with, why all of the secrecy? Why not inform the other Republican on the panel? Why keep it hush-hush?

Considering how I said one side vs. the other, yes. Am I defining how you respond? I merely made an opinion. Plus there is a difference between someone doing this initially and another repsonding to the initial action.
