Did anybody hear the collective gasp when JP even thought about a 3. How embarrasing when your own home town fans gasp for air whenever you have the ball in your hands, JP you are terrible.

is it ok if i BOO prince? i told my boys last year that he was awful, but they were all over his sack bc of the memphis game. now they have come to realize they were wrong.

i told my friend last nite if i was at the game, i would be booing bruce, and yelling at him while he was walking off the court to learn how to coach defense

Every complaint I've heard about Prince is a reflection on BP's coaching. Prince could be a very valuable wing contributor and defender if utilized properly. The same negative comments being said about Prince can be said about our entire team except for Negedu and Smith. Prince was used properly last year and we saw the results until Bruce moved him to the point.

Prince is no longer in AZ and was rooted to their bench because the staff there saw him for what he was.

How exactly is JP a cancer on the team? I've already posted how he should be utilitized and it should be obvious. It's so funny how people immediately turn on the players after a loss and look for someone to blame. If Prince was coached to do what he is effective at and put in good situations then he would be fine. If a player is being lazy, you bench him or make his life in practice a living hell. It's Bruce's job to motivate and coach laziness out of our guys.

only time Prince has played good was against Memphis, and to me he played hard bc it was in front of his home town crowd. Prince does nothing but complain. last year if he threw the ball away it was the other guys fault. I'm starting to believe that gainesvol is somehow related to Prince

you must not have ever seen any of my posts regarding Prince. I have never been a Prince fan. the guy is lazy. plain and simple he's not a basketball player, he's a street baller

lazy hot dogs are a cancer to any team. The fact that he looks to place blame constantly makes it even worse. The guy is a cancer and that has been generally acknowledged on this board for a long time now. Losses amplify that sentiment some, but the general consensus is that he is a problem.

sorry i forgot to answer the question to how he's a cancer on the team. you agree he is suppose to be a leader on this team correct? how does that look when he complains about every foul, or turnover he commits. prime example, last year at Vandy he threw the ball away, it was not even close to the guy, and i remember the camera being put on him and he was bitching at either Tyler or juan. that's good leadership. way to take responsibility

Right.....because anybody who doesn't agree with your opinion must be a homer who is related to the guy. Not sure what Prince did to you for you to wish injury on him but you need to get over it and try not to look so classless.

he hasn't done anything to me, but i don't have respect for guys who don't bust their arses and aren't team players. nvr said you had to agree w/ me. we agree to disagree, but i sure as hell don't see what u see in him. after a yr of watching him play, he's produced one good game (Memphis). and really all he did was dunk 3 or 4 times.

Since when is the general consensus that he's a problem? Among who? He is no more of a lazy hot dog than the rest of our team(Tyler and Negedu excluded) and, once again, that is a reflection on BP. I have seen JP get frustrated and lose focus at times but none of the complaints listed about JP couldn't be fixed with good coaching. My point is that the criticisms of the players on the team don't jive with the perception that Bruce motivates his guys to play hard. There are lots of street-ball types who succeed in college due to good coaching.

He has been a lazy hotdog since he arrived. Do a little reading from last year's threads and you'll see. Many knew it long before he arrived in Knoxville. Everyone at UA was screaming it from the mountaintops.

Many more streetball types fail than succeed.

Yes, he should be a leader on this team. Complaining about a call and losing focus is never good. Have you ever played organized basketball? Have you never gotten upset at a bad call? Do you know that JP was bitching at Tyler or Jajuan or did it look like it because he was frustrated. Teammates communicate and complain. It's the coaches job to keep them focused and their heads in the game. I don't want to seem as if I'm excusing JP or the other players for their faults but I see little out of JP that couldn't be fixed with some tough coaching and I'm not understanding why BP isn't doing it. You either play hard and defend or you don't play and practice is hell. It's pretty simple.

And in no way does this post show how JP is a cancer to the team. On that basis, you could make the argument that most of the roster is a cancer to the team.

yep, played thru college. won a conf title, and made it to two NCAA tourneys in D2. sr yr we were ranked as high as 12th in the nation, ended the season ranked 21st. in hs went to 2 state tourney's, was all state twice. i don't think i'm God's gift to basketball, but i do knw a little. i'm not saying i'm smarter than you. here's the thing. my frsh yr we were like TN is. we had some guys who had unbelieveable talent, but they were me guys, complained about everything, didn't do the little things to win the game. that didn't set a good example. we ended up underachieving big time. the nxt yr lets just say preseason was hell. what happened? we won the conf.

I agree. With this cold snap coming thru until the weekend, there is a chair on the sidelines that seriously needs warming.
