JP is a very talented player physically. He is gifted. However, that gift and talent does not apply for him in his mental approach. His mental approach to the game is all about how flashy he can look while scoring. He is hands down the most frustrating player I have ever tried to support and root for at UT in any sport.

There's only one thing he's good at and that's ACTING like the just took a charge. Everything else he his just to inconsistent. It seems like every time the game is close late he turns the ball over , takes a bad shot or fouls a guy taking a 3. He pisses me off so much cause he could be a lot better then he is offensively.

His problem is that he jumps at the player to contest the shot and then watches the shot forgetting where he is. His momentum carries his body, arms, etc. into the shooter. It's some type of temporary basketball ADD.

pretty sure it was once - the guy was on the line the first one - and if you really wanted to be technical about it - Tasmin Mitchell jumped into JP Prince on that three at the end and JP didn't leave his feet, it was a bad call.

He is a very good passer despite his other short comings, the team would not be the same without him.

Hopson continues to be inconsistent, Prince fouling people shooting the 3, but we won.

Prince is an overall very valuable player for us who often stuffs multiple positive boxes on the stat sheet. It's just that he throws in a few boneheaded plays every night. And, yes, I'm tired of the 3pt fouls. I decided a long time ago that I don't even need to look when I hear the whistle on a 3pt shot. I already know who committed the foul. That said, if you watch Prince for the entire game, you'll see that the good outweighs the bad. Outside of the 3pt fouls, he's a very good defender. He drives me nuts too, but he is a very valuable contributor to this team.

I think it leads back to the debate after the last game and this teams basketball IQ... up by six w/ 2 minutes to play and you have Woolridge jacking up a 3 w/ plenty of time left on the shot clock... maze/chism/hopson for the most part seem to get it.. not sure about some of the rest..

true.....also, I really don't think he touched the guy on either of those 3-pt. fouls in this game........last game, he probably got the guy with his body, but I think the refs made 2 really bad calls, there, IMO.....

Looked to me like the LSU guy jumped into him to try to draw the foul. That's a cheap move, and I wish the refs wouldn't reward it.

and what's been the deal w/ kenny hall? Is he starting to hit the perverbial wall? He just has seemed really lackadaisical and just not into it..

Congradulations j.p. You have the award for the dumbest player in d-1 b-ball. When game gets under 4 minutes he should be benched no questions asked he, out of control, fouls late game situations, and worst of all can't hit a @#$%ing foul shot!!!! We would have iced the kansas game well before we did there is no reason for this s@#t!!!!!

It was a cheap foul. They usually don't call it unless the defender jumps back into you as you go forward - but JP stayed fairly stationary on it.
