Seriously guys?

J.P. has two sides, one side is a slasher who attacks the basket and makes plays for others, plays the passing lanes better than anyone else on the team. The other side commits stupid fouls and tries to make the highlight reels instead of the easy and obvious play.

He is a frustrating player, you know that if he focuses and brings his "A" game, he is a game-changer, he just doesn't always do that.

I feel like he gets way too much criticism when he plays bad and not enough when he play well.

2 cents.

Next year most of you all will be crying for JP to play. None of you all do not even understand basketball, just armchair coaches. Not defending him but you all act like we can do better.

I think JP runs out of eligibility after this year, be kind of hard for him to play next year.

Without him we dont beat Memphis 2 years ago,he only plays like 16 minutes against Kansas and has 4 very big steals, without him we lose. What makes me mad is at the end of a close game he tries to get the ball so he can get fouled, he knows he is awful at ft so he should not even try to get the ball. Alot of his fouls are called because of his rep as well, other players get away with crap worse than what he does when they call fouls on him.

I for one will not miss JP...regardless of his contributions to the team.

I don't know about the call and I don't believe in bashing players. Prince's overall body of work is good for the team, but Pearl should think about pulling him in the last 3 minutes of a game. The fouls on 3 point shooters, the stupid technical fouls, stepping on the end line and the showboating missed dunks when a layup would get critical 2 points makes me want to pull the hair out of my bald head. The worst part is his horrible free throw shooting. When the game is on the line the other team will foul him and feel safe that he won't convert. Just take him out toward the end of the game and maybe his sub will not do things to make us lose.

Prince is an overall very valuable player for us who often stuffs multiple positive boxes on the stat sheet. It's just that he throws in a few boneheaded plays every night. And, yes, I'm tired of the 3pt fouls. I decided a long time ago that I don't even need to look when I hear the whistle on a 3pt shot. I already know who committed the foul. That said, if you watch Prince for the entire game, you'll see that the good outweighs the bad. Outside of the 3pt fouls, he's a very good defender. He drives me nuts too, but he is a very valuable contributor to this team.

I agree with your assessment completely. We have won a lot of games with his great slashing, passing and defensive plays. But just like you said the mental mistakes and missed free throws will get us beat. I am glad we have him, but don't want to see him on the floor late in the game.

It was a cheap foul. They usually don't call it unless the defender jumps back into you as you go forward - but JP stayed fairly stationary on it.

I watched it in slow motion replay on my DVR and he actually never even touched him. Tasmin tried to jump into him but JP moved out of the way.

Yeah, I started the thread, but where did I do any bashing of JP? I simply asked a question.

who made the steal at the end of the Kansas game against Sherron Collins?? was that JP??

Yes, and then he hit 1 out of 4 free throws and fouled Brady Morningstar right after. That was also the game he played a season low 14 minutes and fouled out.
