let the kid go get his grades up and then come back.it's easier to recruit somebody you already recruited to go out and find a fresh face. It is VFL right?

one of them wants to play WR but we think his best spot is CB. they probably give him a chance at WR but my guess is, he ends up on defense.

Not trying to be a smart azz but you said WE are you a coach or something ?

no. 30 is the number and was already accounting for Jabo. it has been known for months he was not making it in

Fortenberry mentioned the number the other day at 31 due to Gordon apparently not taking the field this year. Is 30 the concrete number of recruits we could always take? Or was it 31 and we gave Vickers and Johnson schollies to lower it to 29 at one point?

When u hear a kid might not qualify they usually don't work out it seems like. Even if they eventually are allowed in. Maybe it's because it's not really that difficult to get in. Just about anyone could work hard and do the things needed to qualify.
Who was the kid we got late last year that was originally planning to go to uf. He was allowed in but was just a lost cause. He ended up being a fat lazy pos! Just flushed his whole career away.

No, it was 32 at one point but the ships for Vickers and Johnson reduced it to 30. Gordon makes no difference because he would have been a senior this year anyway. So he is no impact on the class number for 2014.

they can only back count 5 and the SEC rule of only 25 LOI's limits things to 30 at this juncture

Cool. I figured if anyone had a handle on what the actual number was it would be you. Don't know where Hyams keeps getting 29.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have underfunded inner-city public schools that lack discipline, let standards slide, don't focus on the core curriculum and are being taught by flunky tenured teachers who aren't held accountable.

I'm not saying all of the above factors apply in this case, but I bet at least several do.

So the system failed him huh ? Hope Jabo does well with his future and hope he uses this as motivation to do the things needed to play for TN in the future. Would be a great story. Would also speak volumes about himself and CBJ

Tell them how you really feel!
