Maybe I took the "fattened his wallet" comment from you differently and incorrectly. If so, I apologize. In terms of letting him live his life, I was referring to the poster who stated that Dooley doesn't deserve another head coaching job, which I think is silly. But you are right - it's a message board and everyone is entitled to their perspective, including my perspective that they are wrong.

That probably was a bit aggressive terminology on my part. I just meant he was compensated extremely well for such little results. Like I stated earlier,I just don't care what he does after here. Good or bad. I do feel it is best to just move on. Whether that be wishing him to succeed, fail or do as I plan to which is to try and forget he was ever here. Dang it,Fade. You used to be up for a good argument. Now I'm kinda agreeing with you.
I know, right! I'm going to go ahead and blame Dooley for it. Maybe that will rile him up.
I know what you mean, but just in case, I'll add this.
Fade almost never gets riled up. He stirs with a stinky stick sometimes, but he's even keel. I've seen him respond better than most to things that deserved a stick.
He's good people. Not sure many here are willing to admit that in public, lol. Any reputation I may have had here is surely gone now.

I can roll with that. Just don't tell anyone.I know what you mean, but just in case, I'll add this.

Thank you dude for stepping up. Its amazing how some people wish ill will on someone that's no longer here and has nothing to do with the program. Its petty, childish and unintelligent. Why do you care whether or not Dools gets a head coaching somewhere else? So he didn't win enough for you so you want his career destroyed? Google "perspective" and see if any of it looks familiar.
One of Smith's problems is that he has not been disciplined enough to be where he is supposed to be and allowing big plays on the edge where he gets suckered in. Maybe the new staff can motivate him to play within the system and do his assignments correctly.
CK out his videos on govols xtra under Kiffin and Dooley. You will hear the same stuff. Like the other posters said, same song, different staff.
hoping someone fails in life isn't opinion, its vitreous. Nobody said u had to wish him well. Are we talking about a football coach or Pinocchio? I personally don't care one way or the other how Dooley does from here on out. He fattened his wallet quite a bit thanks to us. That should be plenty of good will. If he does succeed, good for him. If not, I'm not going to be upset. I tink the possibility should be entertained that Smith hasn't lived up to his potential because of Dooley. I really hope that is the case anyway. I'm mostly happy we seem to have a good coach on hand finally, but I don't think we are all now supposed to cheer Dooley on because he isn't here anymore. Fade said he should be able to live his life. I haven't seen anyone trying to prevent that from happening. If people still want to express their displeasure with how he handled things, I don't see why they shouldn't.
"I haven't experienced anything like this, and this is my fourth year here at the university," he said. "It just brings the fun back".
Hear ya Jacques. It's been too long.

CBJ and staff doing all the right things. The players and families have noticed. I hope CDD never gets another head coaching job anywhere. He doesn't deserve it. He hurt us as much as Kiffin did.
