Scout has him high on louisville, medium on nine other schools, and low on Tennessee.

Has this kid said something that gives them a reason to list UT as the only school he's low on?

Don't know about that, but you don't make an unofficial to a school in the middle of the week if you are "low" on them.

yeah, well I could see him being high on a school, but I did think that was unusual being listed as low considering this visit

Don't rely on Scout to update their page re: recruits. His final five are Baylor, Kansas, Louisville, St. Johns, and Tennessee. Louisville is probably out with the commitment of Chance Behanon and the likely commit of Quincy Miller. I like our chances in this one.

It's a little interesting that a guy from LeBron's high school doesn't mention LBJ's buddy Cal as an option.

and ranked 22. He's a 4 star on Rivals and ranked 44. Deandre Daniels is ranked 34 on Scout (4 star) and 9 on Rivals ( 5 star). So, in the Scouting services estimations, comparable.

As for why no Cal, I wondered that, too, but KY is pretty much full up in the front court for 2011 and seems to be looking for a 2G right now.

Who cares what Cal does? He recruits non-amateurs (Kanter). If we cared what Cal did, we would be out in the 3rd round of the NCAA tournament last year and not 1 possession away from the Final Four.

Just passed this kid and his father touring the campus with Tony Jones and Steve Forbes..

apparently was checking out some of the two on two action today in Pratt Pavilion, getting the tour of things with Tony Jones.

Sampson is supposedly making his decision today. We know he just visited so this may be good news for us.

I'm not sure it will be today, but very soon. The midweek visit seems very strange. You don't take midweek visits to schools you aren't at least seriously considering.

What I don't know is his visit history. Has he visited everyone else on his list, and we were the last one for him to visit? If so, I wouldn't read much into his looming decision. Nothing more than reading over a menu and deciding what you want at the end. On the contrary, if we were not the last visit, and he was just blown away, then perhaps his decision is a sudden one. In which case, I like our chances.
