Depends on what exactly went down. Fights go on in practices all across the country, no big deal. Beating someone down with a helmet... Well... That's a little different I would say...

Given the worst case scenario, swinging helmets and whatnot, what's the proper punishment in your opinion?

Three games?

What punishment would you propose for two players getting into a fight?

Depends on the fight. If no blood was drawn or major damage done make them run sprints for a couple practice periods. if it was malicious/intention for harm (improvised weapon) a game or two suspension. if someone was actually hurt a couple more games. if the fight carried over after practice, follow along the lines above x2.

I do not care what games Mr. Tabor is or is not playing in besides the Tennessee game.

I desperately want to see Tabor playing in that game.

Agreed. I'm hoping he's gonna have a rough night and even rougher next day. Not wishing injury but I hope we beat up on him pretty good!

I don't know man, to me it's not as simple as that. It really depends on the circumstances. The track record of the individuals involved, the events that led to the fight, etc. My point is people are acting like this was just your basic practice field skirmish and from what I've heard it went much further than that and it was Tabor on the receiving end. Tabor has a big mouth and has quite possibly deserved many ass woopins but when you have a player beating another player down with a helmet someone better get it under control or the school could be liable.

He fought a TE (Lewis) and got his butt kicked. Stitches. This from a friend who spends a lot of time on the Gator board.

Blood was drawn, and it was Tabor's blood.

Lewis beat the crap out of him.

According to mama, he was forced to defend himself. No mention of him starting it in the first place of course. Side note, fellow Vols PLEASE stop tweeting his mom. It's embarrassing.

Word is Tabor swung his helmet at Cyontai Lewis after some trash talk, followed by Lewis beating the crap out of Tabor.

I always thought "Cyontai" sounded like some prescription anti-depressant.

Perhaps next time Tabor should consult his physician before taking Cyontai...side effects include getting your ass whipped.

I think Hurd would probably give Tabor a bigger ass whipping. Especially on the field....

So, y'all would think its hilarious if it was the mom of one of our players? I doubt it. It's just as classless as Tabor's behavior. But then, y'all are probably the guys that talk trash to recruits when they commit elsewhere, so I may as well give up.

Glad it is only 1 game.

I want him to be on the field in Knoxvillle. Punishment needs to be rendered.
