Jamar Hornsby - Football Recruiting
Meyer releases Hornsby after credit card incident | Gainesville.com | The Gainesville Sun | Gainesville, FL
Jamar Hornsby gave Ole Miss fans quite a scare this past weekend with the revelation that he was taking an official visit to Tennessee.
The fans weren't alone. Ole Miss' football coaching staff wasn't exactly thrilled about Hornsby's 48 hours in Knoxville either.
"They were a little worried, but I had to do what was best for me at the time," Hornsby said.
"I'm still committed to Ole Miss," Hornsby said Tuesday afternoon. "It was a good visit. Tennessee's in a bigger city, and there are more things to do. The stadium at Tennessee is bigger, but it's not too much of a difference."
Tennessee, with former Ole Miss coach and new Vols' defensive line coach Ed Orgeron spearheading the effort, will be in Scooba sometime soon.
"Tennessee said they were coming," Hornsby said. "I'm not exactly sure when."
