Jameis pushed the referee

I think the ref was just asking Jameis if he wanted to get a nice seafood dinner after the game!! Maybe even a Crab legs buffet of sorts... :p :eek:lol:

I loathe the guy but no big deal on this. Much ado about nothing.

My problem with it is a simple one. I think the vast majority of other players would have been flagged, but somehow Jameis is above the rules. It's that message that has him believing he can do anything without consequence. And thus far, he's been able to do and get away with things others would have been punished for without consequence, so I guess he's not mistaken. And no, I'm not even including the alleged rape on that list.

His actions are a cancer. I've heard even some FSU fans are tired of his bs and hope he goes pro just to get his ass off the team.

The ref was over the center because FSU had substituted and Winston wanted to snap the ball. This thread made it seem so much worse lulz

No, it doesn't. He shoved a ref. Any other player did that, it's an ejection. This kid is teflon. Nothing sticks to him.

Jameis should have been ejected from the game as soon ad he laid a finger on a ref. That is the rules.

The ref shouldn't have allowed the center to get over the ball once FSU subbed. But maybe he didn't see the sub in time.

Either way, Winston should have been watching the rest of that game from the locker room.

UT's record sucks and that was a hard loss last night...

but at least we aren't FSU!

They can have their perfect record. We'll keep our souls.

Is there a rule for a ref laying his hands on a player for no reason?

No because that doesn't happen. Even if it did, are you gonna move the refs back 15 yards?

He was trying to hold Silly Winston back from the ball because he was too dense to understand you cant snap the ball with the ref standing over it.

Meh. It's only a big deal because it's Jameis.

It's a big deal because it's Jameis and he keeps putting himself in situations where he deserves to be punished, but everyone, from the NCAA to the university to his coach and probably even to his own parents, refuses to hold him accountable and punish him. At this point, he probably thinks he could get away with murder, and to be honest, I wouldn't bet against him. He is a time bomb waiting to explode, and no one is doing anything to disarm the situation. All the enablers are not doing him any favors.

Some day he will do something he can't escape from, and where will the enablers be then?

No big deal the play clock was running. He was trying to get the ref out of the way. I can't believe I'm taking up for Jamarcus - Jameis.

We have two options to pick from here:

A) Jameis Winston is a menace to society
B) Jameis Winston is a product of our society
C) All of the above

Hint: the answer is C

Of course the play clock was running. That makes no difference. You can't push a ref out of the way when he's doing what the rules tell him to do

Just looked like the ref initiated contact. I'm not very familiar with what the ref can do as far as pushing players back, that's why I asked.

Refs pull players off of piles and push them back to break up scuffles during every single game. What this official did didn't look like anything more than that.

People downplaying this are weird imo. You have two things here. 1. He pushed an official. 2. He pushed an official to break a rule so they could run a play because he wanted to.

I'm not one to pile on normally but CANNNNNNONBALLLLLLL
