Interesting piece.....
'Avatar' arouses conservatives' ire - latimes.com
"Avatar" has, of course, far more on its mind than its politics. It's a triumph of visual imagination and the world's first great 3-D movie. But it is fascinating to see how today's ideology-obsessed conservatives have managed to walk away from such a crowd-pleasing triumph and see only the film's political subtext, not the groundbreaking artistry that's staring them right in the face.
oh please. every time I think I want to go see this movie, you pop off with crap like this.
> Deal with it! If me posting a web-site keeps you from watching this movie and then having to read your interpertatious rantings later. GOOD.
No one is denying the technological triumph of this movie. However, if stunning visuals were all you needed for a good movie then "Showgirls" would have won an Oscar. Understand this, the story is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the visuals.
> See it if you can get past yourself, then speak of story.
Cameron is a hypocrite, pure and simple. He decries capitalism and "big business" in this movie and yet as we speak he's laughing all the way to the bank. Just like that fat piece of s***, Michael Moore.
> Both American Heroes..........

Seems unobtainium exist, kinda.
James Cameron's "Avatar" nonsense words aren't so nonsense - chicagotribune.com
Unobtainium was a term used in the movie "The Core". Don't know if anyone knew that or not.
