Jamie Newberg thinks we lead for Luc and Green (merged)

If he takes the visit to Florida then it is back to 50-50 but the latest info is that he is recruiting Christian to Tennessee and he doesn't know if he will take an OV to Florida. I think it all depends on early PT...if he thinks he will really start from day 1 at UT, it is over for us. If Meyer convinces him that he isn't ready for early PT (which he really isn't) then he is back with UF.

The longer this goes on, the better it is for UF.

You say he's not ready for playing time, but... What "isn't ready" for Florida may be "best available" at UT. If he wants to play, he'll get a good chance to here regardless of how ready he actually is to compete at a high SEC level from day 1.

So when can he sign? I dont wanna lose this guy to UF. I think he would have an immediate role here compared to UF.

All logic does point to TN though, parents and PT...I mean it would be a tough sell for Meyer.

If he is starting for you guys then you are really going to struggle because he doesn't have the strength to compete in the SEC....let alone the technique issues all offensive linemen face upon getting to college. Chaz Green would get pushed around if he is a starter from day 1 at Tennessee.

He is a guy you get and 2 years later he is a stud LT. He sort of reminds me of your LT...I believe his last name is Scott?

Christian Green and Markeith Ambles would be a great WR duo...now they would just need a QB that can get them the ball.

Why do our rival fans seem to ignore Bray, I really think he has a promising future and it seems all the rest of the SEC keeps asking where Kiffin's big QB commit is?!? Have you seen this write up on Bray?

On the Hoof: Perhaps the tallest committed D-I quarterback prospect in the country but very lean at this time. The closest physical comparison would be N.C. State quarterback Mike Glennon.
Needs Improvement: Will need to add some muscle mass and strength while improving his overall foot speed.
Most Impressive: Bray is a very accurate quarterback that has excellent touch and can throw any type pass asked of him. He is also an intelligent player that will make the right reads and not throw into double coverage.
Conclusion: This quarterback may have the most long-term potential of any quarterback in the country. Bray is a tough competitor that sees the whole field and already has enough arm strength to make the tough throws.

I say he would play weak. With Nick hopefully coming back ok I would try my best to use them both. This would also give Luc a year to learn the defense.

He can't sign for another 3 and a half months. The official visit is the big thing. If he takes that to UF then all bets are off and it is back to being 50-50. But as of now he is all Vol.

And there you go. If you look at our roster, you'll see that we are in serious trouble due to the prior regime not filling needs and attrition. Next year will be as lean if not leaner than this one. Hopefully by 2011 we'll be ready to compete for a championship.

IF he comes here I think he has a very good shot at being 2nd string behind Douglas and Schoefield next year...that's how thin we are at OL in 2010...

I could definitely see him beating out Schoefield in 2011...

I have to say...the thought of he and Douglas as bookend tackles sounds really awesome to me

Both are UT bound, and there's still another big surprise coming to UT from Florida.

~El Virtuoso~

Shoot me a message about what you are hearing...I am hearing the same, I just don't want to post the name on here because nothing good will come of it. We are getting a little bit of bad smoke on someone as well....
