Yep, Jay Graham came back here even though he already had a cushy job and any sane person could see Dooley was going to get fired. I say we change Tee Martin Drive to Jay Graham Way.

Stop being butthurt because Tee cares more for his family than UT. I would have loved for him to come home, but family comes before your alma mater. Seriously, how many of you would choose UT over your wife's happiness? WTH do you want from the man? Does he need to divorce his wife and come here and coach at a lesser salary to convince you he's a VFL? He proved that to me in 1998. Stop questioning his character because he made a decision based on his family's needs rather than your own.

Are you secretly bashing Tee? It's a little old now if so boss. Tee is also an upcoming great coach and recruiter as well, and just because he isn't coming doesn't mean he's not a VFL. He's done more for this university than you or any other whining baby ever will, like leading us to our ONLY NC since 1951. Jay is awesome, but he ever win a NC? Is he a great recruiter if we don't get the Green kid or some other elite RB? I got Tee's autograph his junior year and would get it again if I saw him and wish him well. Sorry if I read more into your post than I should have. If I didn't, then get over yourself.

I'd say all that northwestern moisture in the air up there has waterlogged your brain. Another brainless comment.

Ok idiots, no body is bashing T here. But that shouldn't surprise me that you are ready to pounce on anything said, you obviously read what you want. This post simply says we have Jay Graham and have a lot to be proud of because he accomplished more than T did. We don't have to be down on T for not coming, but can be proud of what we have because he is as good. No not as good but better than T.

Read into it what you want to azzhole, I simply said we have Jay Graham and should be proud of that. No where in this post did I bash T. So get over yourself
I find it common that one can't even post something positive about our staff without having some butt licks trying to make something negative out of it. T did not come. So what. We have some good men here anyway. That's it no more no less. So read what you will and bash at will. It seems to make you self absorbed holier than thou azzholes feel good to find something negative on anytjing said

Gee, I thought college was to prepare you for the future, not lock you into a Tenn job. How many doctors and lawyers come back with no thought of themselves or family and work for Tenn. If it would, in his eyes, have been a great opportunity, I bet he would have come back. My guess is he didn't.

I'll T-bash! He should have just said no if he didn't want to move his family. He should have just said," I'm not interested"if he knew his wife wouldn't move. If he knew he didn't want to leave the players he recruited, he could have quietly said he had no interest. Instead, he made this into a spectacle and rejected UT.

Will it help him recruit TN for USC, yes. Will it ensure that he gets a raise, yep. Does he care about the Vols more than USC, doubtful.

Well lets see..... you said that Jay has done "way more in the NFL than Tee ever did". That's called a comparison, as if one needs to be judged by the others success. I said I may have read more into it, but the way it was written obviously led multiple people to believe you we're just another Tee basher, even other Tee bashers. No surprise with the way it was worded, and the timing, sheesh.

Btw, and this comment only directed at those who ARE bashing Mr. Martin, if being a VFL is judged by him not moving back "home" (amazingly he is not from Knoxville), and spurning an opportunity to join the staff over here, then a new standard should be set for all. As a fan, if you don't live in Knoxville so that you may attend as many games as possible and support the team up close for ANY reason, job, family, etc., then you are selfish and can not be considered a VFL.

I did say that and that is a fact. Although neither burned it up in the NFL. We can still be proud of what we have.

The LA lifestyle is infectious, it's not a place, it is a lifestyle. It's expensive, I lived there for about 15 years until moving recently to Vegas. But to be a noted football staff member at USC and with all the perks that come with it, makes it extremely difficult for a person, more especially to just up and leave without very good reason. Chances are his children are going to attend some of the best middle and secondary schools in this nation, and it is true you can surf in the morning and snowboard the same afternoon. Tee is on a first name basis probably with a lot of the Hollywood crowd as is his wife, lots of people in the entertainment business are around them. I personally still miss every weekend on the Sunset Strip or on La Cienega at various restaurants, surfing Venice Beach. Until you walk a mile in Tee's shoes, some of you need to take chill pill. He didn't do anything wrong to UT, he still has my admiration and total respect for how he conducted himself on and off the field while he was on The Hill.

I understand all the reasons he may want to stay at USC. I'm just saying he could have declined UT in a much less embarrassing way.
