Jay Graham

Yep, Jay Graham came back here even though he already had a cushy job and any sane person could see Dooley was going to get fired. I say we change Tee Martin Drive to Jay Graham Way.

You make a good point here.....Graham took a big chance coming back under the circumstances .......Tee turning the Vols down is very disappointing

Class would have been to make the statement he ultimately made without contacting everyone he knew in Knoxville to try and get an interview for the job with coach Jones. Then parade all over Knoxville makeing sure everyone knew he was there so he could publicly embarass his alma mater. Sorry that is not class that is being Kiffen Jr.

What the hell are you talking about? Tee didn't ask for a job at UT. CBJ mentioned Tee at his presser. CBJ reached out to him. Tee flew into Knoxville's only commercial airport where he was seen by fans. He didn't beg for attention. He didn't announce "Here I am!" The fans initiated it. It would have been more embarassing if he'd shown no interest whatsoever.

You are wrong. He did announce that he was coming. He contacted several people that he knew in Knoxville and let it be very well known that he was coming for a possible position at UT. Also, he knew he was not going to accept it. This was emberassing to Tenn the way it was handled. This had Kiffen all over it. I am not bashing T. But this is just how it is

Stop being butthurt because Tee cares more for his family than UT. I would have loved for him to come home, but family comes before your alma mater. Seriously, how many of you would choose UT over your wife's happiness? WTH do you want from the man? Does he need to divorce his wife and come here and coach at a lesser salary to convince you he's a VFL? He proved that to me in 1998. Stop questioning his character because he made a decision based on his family's needs rather than your own.

Sadly, I fear there are many on this board who choose that every day! :)

wife? happiness?

Hey, I got a joke for that one...

A young man was walking along the sandy beaches with his surf board. He suddenly spots this bottle which has recently washed up on the beach. It's obvious it's been tossed around for a long time. He picks up the bottle and notices that it still has the cork intact. So, being curious as to what may be inside, he manages to get the cork out and out pops a Genie.

After expressing profound appreciation for having been let out of the bottle, the Genie grants his benefactor the classic, "one wish" and it will be yours. Being an avid surfer, it doesn't take him long to say,
"I've always wanted to surf Hawaii, but I get seasick on ships and I'm afraid to fly. Would you build me a bridge to Hawaii?"

The Genie replies:
"Do you know what you are asking for? Do you know how long the bridge would have to be? Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. And the maintenance of that bridge! No, think of another wish."

The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish. Finally, he said,
"I would really like to make my wife happy. That is my wish."

After a long sigh, the Genie responds:
"Would you like that bridge with two lanes or four?"

Hey we still have VFL JG. He has done more in the NFL than TM ever thought about Also, he is an upcoming great coach. We have a lot to be excited about and a Vol of our own.

Am I the only one who thought this was a Jon Gruden thread? I've been on VN too much...
