Jaylen McCollough arrested

If he entered a private residence, doesn’t he have the right to punch him in the face? Serious question.

I think the issue is the person, explained and apologized and then left the apartment. The incident occurred after he left the apartment unit.

Of course not. He's the alleged Victim that got punched. Why he got punched is incredibly important. He's not yet a victim. He's an alleged Victim and that's an important distinction.
Believe it or not you can’t just go around punching people legally just because someone offended you.

I think Jaylen will survive this and the charges will be lessened. He won’t play Saturday.

We don't know WHY Jaylen Punched Zion. You're right, you can't go around punching people but Jaylen might be the Victim, not Zion. We don't know that. That's why Zion is the ALLEGED Victim until Jaylen is Proven Guilty.

EDIT: In fact, we don't even know that Jaylen did punch him. We have supporting evidence in the police report that he did, but that's it at this point.

you said this

mouths off because the owners of the apartment are being aggressive about”

Which is not remotely the same. He had left the apartment and only was talking to McCollough. Also telling someone they don’t have to be a dick about it isn’t mouthing off.

The police report did it state that he was talking to McCollough.

They have multiple witnesses on the scene. The police would’ve booked Zion as well if they thought there was a chance Jaylen was a victim of something.

It’s a huge distraction to the team to have anyone facing felony charges associated with the program until there’s a resolution. “Innocent until proven guilty” only applies to the legal side of things.

at minimum, McCollough will be suspended indefinitely while the case plays out

I’m aware….sure didn’t hurt those 90s teams though. Then again I never worried about what trouble the guy next to me was in during football practice either.

This story seems wild to me. Like none of it makes any sense. Charges likely to be reduced either way at a minimum as he doesn’t appear to have any record. That takes time, his career here is done. If he’s able to get the charges dropped and he never plays again it is literally the end of a career over an allegation. Knowing what we know now about other cases(AJ Johnson) it’s just hard for me to believe that’s the best process. Just the PC one

We’re gonna take the word of a drunk?? Okay . . .

I never said that. I was reading what the report said. I wasn’t there and have no clue. And to be honest, idk how I’d react if someone walked into my house then walked out. Would I go after him and say some thing? I don’t know.

Not necessarily. One of the witnesses is Jaylen's Girlfriend. That's not a dispassionate witness. Kid is innocent until proven guilty. Zion is an alleged victim until its proven in court.
