You're right about that. Have you noticed they all look alike, too. Bunch of wet eared snot nose kids. The good old days when Big Dale, Bill Eliott, Rusty, Bobby Allison, Gant, Yarborough, Terry Labonte, Waltrip, Buddy Baker and Benny Parsons were racing was the best of times. I didn't like the Alabama gang at all but I miss all of 'em now. And don't you miss Oldsmobiles, Buicks, and Pontiacs on the track?

One of the worst things to happen to Nascar is toyota coming in, whats next BMWs. Oh yeah i remember the old days when the only race u would see on tv was the Daytona 500. I can recall many sunday afternoons when i was a kid listening to the race on the radio with dad and screaming for the king Richard Petty. Remember when Cale Yarborough wipped both Allisons in the infield after a last lap wreck in the 500, thats classic man.

yeah right!!!! For Jeff Gordon fans the Daytona 500 isn't anything but a big ole gay pride parade.....All the Jeffy fans are on one said of the stands saying "we're queer and we're here" then you hear...The Dale Jr. crowd "we're straight and late and now get the hell outta the way!!!" JG=HOMOSEXUAL lol

I remember listening to races, too. As much as we badmouth ESPN, you have to give them credit. They promoted NASCAR and televised races every week other TV wouldn't touch it. I think they, along with RJ Reynolds and Dale Earnhardt made NASCAR what it is today in the late '80's and early 90's. Man, I looked forward to Sundays in the spring and summer.
As for Toyota, I read on one of these threads that the riceburners would be running Chevy or Chrysler motors.

As a fellow Nascar fan, Please don't come on here and knock JG. Do that on the official Nascar thread. For any JG fans out there, JG and Johnson were doing pretty good today.Jeff got the flat.Over after that. I feel real good about this weekend.Little E looked pretty good there with a strong surge on the end. :biggrin2:

Once is enough! Slow pokes need to get out of the way so the real drivers can race!. :gun:

tony s. looked the toughest out there to me...when he got hung out there late, and shot back up to the front...man, that was impressive. Jr. did good too...

I'm hoping Dale Jarrett has a good race next week and takes advantage of his starting position. the past few years his strategy has been to hang back the whole race and see if he can move up at the end....it's only worked once, last year at T'dega. If not him, either the 38 or 8....

Stewart seems like he picked right back up from last year. That said, DJ is a first class driver, no doubt!
