Do you not recall how many times Stein stuffed stokes? Most of stokes baskets against UK were with stein out, plus that break away dunk.

In fact, stokes was 3-10 THREE MADE FIELD GOALS, I wouldn't use that as evidence he's improving against length.

Off current topic here, but wasnt Stokes in fould trouble against UGA the first time this year we played them? I ask because I dont remember them having anybody that should be able to stop Stokers Ace...

Florida has no guard comparable to Siva or Smith. Florida's guards are a good matchup for us because they aren't overly quick actually.

UofL's defense is really what takes over everything. The guard play is good but not as good as people make it seem. Make Russ shoot and shoot and he will shoot them out of games. Siva is average against good guards. Dieng and Behannan are probably the biggest concerns. We match up with them more than you think. Defense is probably the biggest thing to adjust to.

I didnt specifically mean the louisville game. I meant the whole side of the bracket. Ohio State, Louisville, Gonzaga. I would prefer that to Kansas-Miami-Indiana, or Florida-Duke-Michigan State. Michigan-Arizona-Gorgetown may not be too bad.

Gotcha. I do agree with that.

Got you. I understand your thinking now. You are looking alot closer than I am.

Cauley-Stein is a teddybear. He's still very raw, and plays soft on top of that.

O'Bryant gave Jarnell a lot of problems. He's probably a better "measuring stick".

O'Bryant gave Stokes trouble but not for offense. Stokes performed well on offense. Deng for Louisville is more of a rebounder and defender. O'Bryant looks great offensively.

Cauley-Stein had 2 points (25%), 2 rebounds, 2 blocks and fouled out in 23 minutes.

Stokes had 9 points (30%), 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and only played 20 minutes. Id like for the percentage to be a little higher. But again, Ill take that all day, every day.

I assume JRich will be on KCP? The first game wasn't on tv here, so I didn't see it. Just remember UGA shooting out of their minds.

The one concern is that UGA really has played all close games in conference. Somehow, Fox has his team still playing.

I wasn't commenting on stokes defense, so steins offensive numbers don't much matter. I mentioned Dieng and said stokes struggles against length, if stokes is shooting 30% from the field, getting stuffed and can't crack double digit points or boards I don't like our chances.

He's just not good against length.

Thats because he is vertically challenged.

The potential matchup with OH State is intriguing. I'd love to see the Vols stomp a mudhole in Aaron Craft.

Yeah I was speaking of when Stokes is on D. O'Bryant really gave him trouble. O'bryant is probably the most underrated player in the conference, though. If we meet LSU in the SECt, I will be worried.

Hate the 8/9 seeds! Call me crazy, I'd rather be the 11 playing a 6.

Personally I'd take the 12 over any of those seeds. I like our chances against most of the 4 and 5 seeds.

I'd probably say give me a 12 all the way until a 7 seed being the first seed id prefer over a 12.

Their is a couple of 12-5 upsets ever year too.

Apparently WCS only had 2 blocks, so it wasnt that many. Plus he fouled out. When you get hammered on a shot and miss, it still counts as a miss.

He is not good against length, not arguing that. I just think he is getting better against it than he was earlier on.

Agree, I'd take the 12 as well. Just stated 11 cause of the OP. Historically, 12's have done well against the 5's. Would have at least some peace of mind going into that game.

The only bad part about getting a 12 seed is there is a good chance we would be in one of the play-in games.
