There is a lot of football left and as I’ve state numerous times, it’s an awesome feeling to see TN relevant again.

There will be movement each week as the committee will review each game, esp championship games. TN needs TCU to lose. Also, I think the committee will give a spot to a one loss PAC 12 champion, (Oregon or USC). Lot of football left so enjoy the ride!
Go Vols!
I don’t think we do need TCU to lose? I see it shaking out like this:

1. UGA
2. OSU/Mich
3. TCU
4. Tennessee

If TCU loses we just move up to 3 and the pac-12 champ slides up to 4

A TCU loss and PAC 12 (Oregon/USC) two loss team would make me feel a better for TN chances. A lot can change as a lot of football to be played and there are usually upsets in November.

Not sure what adjustments you can make. At the end of the day, it's still UGA's defensive roster against our offensive roster. They just physically manned up on us and whipped us. Yeah, it was a 14 pt loss, but we didn't sniff the endzone until 4 min left in the 4th. That game wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicated. We can't match them physically and I doubt we'll be fooling them with some super secret scheming. UGA will have to make a lot of mistakes and we'd have to play flawlessly to have a chance. Yes, they are that much better than we are.
There's always adjustments to be made. Example: Alabama and Georgia from last year games.

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Tennessee ranked #4 and playing #1 Georgia in the Peach Bowl in the FBS Playoffs Semifinals in his latest bowl predictions. I hope the FBS Playoffs Top 25 has Tennessee ranked #4 also.

Smart. There is no reason for us to drop below #5 for the rest of the season. I personally see us #4 tomorrow night. We won't get penalized for finishing 3-0 and drop from top 4.

Really unbeaten teams should be ahead of us. I said that about Alabama after the initial playoff ranking this past week there's no way TCU should have been behind them. People outside of the SEC are tired of seeing 2 SEC teams make it in just like everyone was tired of Alabama always in. There was no scenario where 3 SEC teams were in this year, the anti-SEC bias wouldn't have allowed that. TCU needs to lose.

Agree. The problem with all of this is is the playoff committee is so subjective in their rankings. At least with bcs there was a formula. Tennessee should be ahead of a one loss Oregon PAC champion or a 1 loss TCU big12 champion but never know what these committee members might think

UGA will still have a roster advantage. I'd rather draw OSU and take my chances with them.

Ohio State is good as well. I am not sure we matchup with them very well either.

I would rather get Georgia to at least ensure a rematch. Partly because their fans have just been the worse all week and then today with the win. I am starting to realize why Georgia has the worse fans.

I’d be worried about Oregon jumping TN. Shouldn’t but we all know the polls …

I think they will if the win out but it won't matter if TCU loses. It would be the following

1. Georgia
2. B1G Champion
3. Oregon
4. Tennessee

Only real concern is if Ohio State loses to Michigan. I can see the media pushing for Ohio State over Tennessee as an at-large. Cheer hard for Pitt, Florida, Alabama, and LSU to win all the games they are supposed to and help our SOS.

Alabama, LSU, and Pitt are the most important because they play a lot of teams that we don't have on our schedule. Florida plays teams that we are going to play and it will balance out.

The best thing we can do is to get ready to play Missouri and take them out of the game early. Obviously, we can't afford to lose another game and still be in the playoff hunt, but we need to get back in the saddle and score 50 points in each of the next three games. Most likely that last slot in the playoff will be a bit of a beauty contest.

I don't believe this for one second. There is no valid argument for TCU being ranked ahead of Bama in the initial rankings just because TCU is undefeated and Bama's one loss was to #1 team by 3 points.

Vegas knows that Bama would be a 3 score favorite over TCU.
The only team TCU might have a slight shot at in the top 6 was Clemson.....

TCU's sole argument for not being higher is their record and not anything on the field they can point to....... You can't struggle vs .500 teams and win by 10 points and then cry foul and disrespect in the rankings...... There is not valid reason or justification anyone can point to to argue TCU's initial ranking in the CFP at #7.....

Alabama is lucky they didn't have 2 losses to a terrible Texas A&M team and a mediocre Texas team by the time they played us. They'll be fortunate to win out the rest of the season with their undisciplined play. They didn't deserve that ranking.

There is also a possible situation with folks being weary of the SEC presence in the playoffs. We might deserve being there but they could just go with one SEC team just to say they did.

Bama won without their Heisman winning QB in a tough game.... Please tell me again how they were overrated? You honestly think Bryce Young playing vs not playing wasn't a factor in that game?

Oregon can still lose to Utah or Oregon State . They play Oregon State at State . A lot of football left .

I don’t see them having 2 sec teams play in the semis, if we make it and Georgia is 1 we would be 3, if Georgia is somehow 2 we would be 4 imo

If Tennessee does get the rematch with Georgia, I hope Heupel and the coaching staff makes some adjustments to be more competitive. Truth is, Georgia has more depth, and it's all 4 and 5 star. Tennessee just isn't deep enough yet. Hopefully that is gonna change in the next several recruiting classes.

I have to agree we got outmanned yesterday. Unless we can bring in some defensive backs that can keep up with Georgia's receivers, not sure how we can expect a different outcome. Florida and Bama scored on us at will until the clock ran out---we just happened to outscore them. Couldn't do that with Georgia. We were lucky we didn't lose a bunch of players to injuries yesterday. The Vols have gotten better since the season began, but yesterday exposed a lot.
