I’d be worried about Oregon jumping TN. Shouldn’t but we all know the polls …

Agree 100% as Oregon had an early loss and they play a ranked Utah team and ranked Oregon St team this month. A one loss Pac 12 champion will get a seat @ the playoffs’ table.

Peach Bowl= home game for UGA.
Not complaining about the ranking, but the venue.
Still, there’s time to move up or down, but the Vols have to handle business in the interim.

Highly doubt they would have TN and GA play in RD one. If GA wins out, We win out and Ohio St wins out we will be 3rd, so we would play Ohio St 1st rd. We still gotta beat Mizzou,S.car and Vandy..Mizzou played GA better than us and S.Car is usually close most years..especially there..But there's no reason we shouldn't finish 11-1.

I don’t think we do need TCU to lose? I see it shaking out like this:

1. UGA
2. OSU/Mich
3. TCU
4. Tennessee

If TCU loses we just move up to 3 and the pac-12 champ slides up to 4
TCU will lose at Tex next week

A 12-1 USC likely gets in over Tennessee.

Right now Tennessee has the #2 SOR and the #2 SOS the highest SOS of ranked teams (Bama is second at 6th and LSU is third at 8th).

That’s a strong recipe for what will probably be a ranking of 4th and to get into the playoff. This will go down as Tennessee plays their final 3 games with no championship game though.

I've watched USC play this year numerous times. Caleb Williams is a beast but I don't think there's any way they win out. Their defense is suspect. They gave up 35 to a horrible Cal team (that put up 13 points and lost to Colorado) last night. The game before that, they gave up 37 to an equally bad Arizona team. I think Oregon should put them away in the Pac 12 Championship game, and Notre Dame may very well knock them off before that.

If Tennessee does get the rematch with Georgia, I hope Heupel and the coaching staff makes some adjustments to be more competitive. Truth is, Georgia has more depth, and it's all 4 and 5 star. Tennessee just isn't deep enough yet. Hopefully that is gonna change in the next several recruiting classes.
We will have almost a month to prepare for the playoffs. That could change everything by then.

What adjustment? If it’s personnel (4/5 star) what can CJH do?
Rolling Hooker out of the pocket to keep the rush from getting to him, throwing the ball away when he is outside the tackle box about to be sacked, running back sliding out to give him another option.

Just let it play out. If we do happen to meet again it would be in NC game, which no one would have even imagined possible at begining of season. I happen to think Heupel would have better plan for the UGa pass rush if we meet again, Hooker would have to get the ball out or tuck it and run much more quickly than he did yesterday. Neutral site would of course help. Not saying we would win, but it would be a better outing Im confident of that.
I can't fathom why he didn't have a better plan against their rush for the game yesterday. Everybody and his brother was talking all week about how UGA would take their cue from Pitt and blitz us - and then Heupel seemed completely unprepared for it, as though it never crossed his mind as a possibility.

I agree a one loss Oregon team being a conference champion will get in ahead of us. It would not be fair but I believed it would happen. We need TCU to lose this week to feel safe as long as we take care of business.
