My kind of player, hating other teams is the way. This love fest between players and other teams fans really make me wanna throw up occasionally.
I get what your saying and will add that their players are always so great and Tennessee players not so great. That was certainly the case a lot in the past, but not anymore. We got what we need they just need to play like I have seen them all play. That is the freshmen up to the seniors. If they all hit that athletic stride SEC is on notice big time that Tennessee is back all the way.

All you guys who was worried and about to jump off the ledge, CKC had this. She had a plan and boy is it working out nicely. Great decisions don’t always happen quickly sometimes it takes a little time. Congratulations to CKC and her staff. Go Lady Vols!!

Kim seems laser focused. Love that she is constantly focused on HER program and the tasks at hand. Meanwhile everyone else seems to be talking about her and her program.

I think they’re scared.

I'm hoping Wolfenbarger is a more mature player which I believe she is and if so Tubner will make her a very dependable weapon for us next season. Looking at her LSU game log she had some sensational games and a few where she just disappeared. Seems her goal here would be to be able to do more than Hollingshead and along with Barker that looks easilty accomplished. Last year it was Spearman, Latham, Hollingshead, and Adoyele who never played. This year Spearman, Latham, Barker, and Wolfenbarger. How much better can that group be with two having a year of experience and the other two vastly more talent is like night and day. Latham was getting real close to breaking out there at the end of the season. I have to believe both she and Spearman will be much improved players. Hope is that both Barker and Wolfenbarger are going to be capable of their best collsge season as seniors.

I know a lot of folks are concerned our portal haul didn't include a pure shooter or two to replace what we lost from deep in Tess, Jewel and Samara, but I suspect Kim may feel like two or three on the roster could become those players. I trust our staff's eye for talent and potential, so I think we're going to be fine.

I believe the upgrades we've made in other positions will open up the floor and give others better opportunities to take shots and grow their perimeter games. And I am confident they'll be a good group who'll get in the gym when time allows and put up shots.

Not being critical here just commenting it looks like Kim is going for the win now mode with the one and dones. Happy with that but but hope she does add some recruits with 2-3 yrs eligibility in there to. Forgot about the twins she is bringing in. Forget my comment, ha.

People are under estimating what Mia, Mya and Deniya bring on that front. Our coaches were obviously looking for size and versatility and Robertson is a perfect system fit. I’ve already seen clips of Nya in the practice gym getting threes up, she’s not afraid to let it fly, if she improves her %% a little she will be dangerous.

Hurst also has a beautiful outside shot it’s just hard to find film on her for some reason. Could easily see Hurst playing a Darby type role but with more size and rebounding.

I don’t think I’m reading this correctly, are you saying because she signed 3 portal players w/ a year of eligibility in addition to 5 HS commits , and 6 current players with 3 having multiple years of eligibility remaining that means CKC is in a win now mode (which she should be) yet needs to focus in on HS recruiting?
She signed 5 HS players in one recruiting cycle, how many you want her to bring in next year?

Go back and read my original post, I just edited it. I don't know what I was thinking.

...and on defense, subtracted how many points? :)

Multiply by what returning players now know from experience--and can communicate in player-to-player language this summer to all the newcomers--and the learning & conditioning curves (compared to the same period in 2024) should be shortened by days, maybe even weeks!

There will still be the same process of un-learning years of ingrained basketball habits for each newcomer. But now we have a core of players who will be both modeling as well as instructing as they play together through the summer.

First time in my life that I've felt envious of women college basketball players. What an opportunity!

Unless they get the yips or lose their abilty overnight. Mia and Mya Pauldo and Lauren Hurst can shoot the three as well as anyone I see on most of the other SEC teams. Roberston made 33 percent which is just one percent less than Tess. Barker went for 34 percent so she can step out and make one of three. I think Prawl is around 35 percent and Civil made 32 percent which is just below our team average last season. That is probably the group you want to take the most of the three. Cooper 27 percent and Whitehorn 30 percent should be more get to the basket and mid range. I don't see that we need a lot more can only play five at a time and we have enough efficeint three shooters at least in high school that can get the job done. I think that is what Coach Kim is counting on. She wanted to improve that inside game and she accomplished that added another speed player. I think were ready to play.

Great post. Last season, some defenses were able to negate Jewell's and Tess's 3-point opportunities, partly because they knew where they didn't have to cover them, and which LVs they didn't have to cover outside. While we had lots of players who were great contributors, many were only so within certain parameters.

The roster we see being built--physical attributes notwithstanding--is more positionless, or role-less if you prefer. Our bigs will be threats enough from outside that they have to be covered. Our smalls will be quick enough to always be a drive threat, but outside threats if not covered out pretty far.

As has been said before, we're gonna be able to spread defenses like a Heupel scheme!

I'm looking forward to seeing if the pervasive (more consistent across the roster) quality of LVs going against each other in practice daily, shows up in the stats as fewer turnovers and more assists.

Every player they face in practice will be more like top-tier SEC players in quickness, size, and floor IQ. Hopefully, our passing game will improve accordingly.
