Jesse Scroggins still visiting?

CPC has way too much on his plate to worry about messing with CLK.

Maybe, but it all sems kinda fishy. I think Pete is doing ok, I mean he has 5 star players at every position, so I'm sure he can rib Kiffin a little. Just like Spurrier used to rib Fulmer

A lot of 2010 QBs (JS & TB included) will be watching to see how our offense performs this year, esp. the running backs and OL pass protection. THAT will be a big factor in determining whether they stay committed to their current schools or change to Tennessee, IMO. Hope it's the latter choice!

i'd say marlon brown is a lost cause. he seems georgia bound. scroggins on the other hand is still worth a little talk i think.

I told Marlon Brown that he F'd up when he signed with GA. I think that rules out TN moreso than the fact that he's on Ga's campus right now and would have to attend a JC for a year before even being eligible to talk to UT coaches.

If UT lands Scroggins , then Bray might take Scroggins spot and go to SC. In my opinion bad move for UT , cause in the long run Bray will be much better than Scroggins. Right now Scroggins > Bray. In a year in a half Bray > Scroggins. JMO

I don't know. I think Rettig might come back into play if what you have above where to play out. I think he would still be USC's second choice.

I think we get Bray after he visit's. Also to me , and I could be way off base, But Scroggins seems to miss being talked about. I think it will be very, very, hard to get him away from SC. I think he likes UT but I don't think he will turn down his trojans to come here. JMO.

The best thing for us would be one of those Janzen Jackson deals. Scroggins stays committed to SC until Signing day. Then after we get Bray's LOI. Scroggins pulls the trigger. Alot like with Myles and Jackson. But I don't think that happens.

The fact UT landed Milton and Ambles without even having a QB commit probably opened Scroggins eyes a little as well. He is probably thinking, dang, if they can land those guys without a QB, what could they do if I decided to jump on board? Just a thought........

Hey guys not to get off topic but I didnt know what thread to ask this on. I am from Lafayette, Louisiana and I was wondering what would be the best way to get access to the UT games that are not broadcasted on TV everywhere such as the smaller games like Western Kentucky and Ohio. Does anybody have the ESPN Gameplan and if so how was the coverage of the Tennessee games last year? I really want to watch the Western Kentucky game im kind of in a bind (All LSU coverage down here). Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Im not too sure I would read into this situation. JC's parents want him at SC and if Petey wants you at SC...you go to SC...

I would think Gameplan or ESPN360 would be your best bet. You might want to call Direct TV and speak to a rep and ask if they know which games will be carried.

It will be better for Scroggins if Barkley does play early, that way he gets his 3 years in and then off to the NFL. Then Scroggins will be a Junior or redshirt soph. when Barkley is gone.
All I'm saying is that I think if Scroggins has said that he really wants to play early and compete for a job, then he may be rethinking his commitment with some of these big WR commits we have got...He could very well come in and compete for the job next year if he changes his mind, I still think he is staying in South California though

I hope the coaches say the opportunity for an official visit at UT is no longer available just to "come see BB and the boys". He strung us along way after he knew where he was going (his words on when he decided) and caused us to lose ground on prospects like Rettig and Rees. No thanks JS.....enjoy that bench for the next 5 years. Our eyes need to be on the QB with the most potential in this class long term, who also happens to be the one we have the best shot with, Tyler Bray.

I think he is coming out here for a free trip to see his buddies like he stated in his interview. Barkley is about to get the starting nod due to the other guy getting hurt. He is just coming out for a free football game.

It's been more commitments like Smith and Ambles.

My personal belief is that Scroggins never visits. I think Tennessee if distance is not an issue will get Bray and will tell Scroggins no thanks even if he wants to visit, but we will see.

Thanks for the information guys. Sorry for getting off topic. I will most probably purchase the ESPN Gameplan package and keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully it includes the SEC Network. Raceland LA! Go Vols! Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez (Let the good times roll)!

It's a long way to February and NSD. If we surprise and win (8 or 9 wins) this year, all of them (Bray, Rettig, Scroggins, Sims, and Brunetti) will still be in play. Just ask Urban Meyer how Teague and Richardson are doing in practice this fall. What a minute, we got them at the last minute on our team. This staff never gives up and QB for 2010 is a huge need. If we win that's just another reason to say "Look at what we did in 2009"

I'm with BuckeyeVol.....I hope we tell JS we're not interested. It's obvious by his supposed statements that he is just playing us again for a free airplane ride and weekend.

He pretty much admitted in his comments the only reason he would come on an official would be to see his "friends". I dont mind that a bit.....but I sure as hell hope our coaches dont foot the bill for it. CLK knows if we have a shot or not....if we dont, I HIGHLY doubt we waste the money on this kid. More and more, he seems to be quite the attention whore. Now that he is out of the spotlight with his recruitment over, he seems to be looking for something to get him back into a Rivals article. Spend the money on a kid that actually wants to come here an compete as a Freshman and isnt fine with sitting the bench his entire college career.
