Coach Cheney,

we thank you! for all we have been through, i just wanted to say thanks for being a steady leader. some have trashed you but, you have been faithful through our darkest time and you are still here with a smile on your face and our kids seem to love you. With much appreciation, I wish you well where ever you land.

But but but... He smiled DURING THE GAME! Therefore, he wasn't intense enough, and his concentration wasn't completely on what was happening. Second, we didn't score every single possession. Our offense obviously sucks, and it's all his fault for not having the players ready. The players also looked like they were having fun out there! Can you believe it? Seven losses and they look like they were having fun. UT also gave up 17 points to UK. Our defense sucks, and Cheney, as coach, must be held responsible for this as well. In all, a terrible effort by Cheney. He should be fired immediately...

(Sarcasm intended, yet sad that this is the mindset of most of you; God bless the next UT coach...)

Dunno about Coach Cheney, but I think Jim Chaney also deserves some credit. Way to get the team fired up for a pointless game.

Also glad that all the shower coaching Dooley gave them paid off in the end of the Kentucky game for Chaney.

It's hard to argue with the points scored. But, a better mix of run pass is needed to become a top ten team. I would be fine with keeping him, but the new coach needs to make it clear that we have to have a more physical mentality on offense.

Today we had 34 passing attempts to 32 rushes. CJC career play calling at TN, 54% pass to 46% rushing.

I'm not a fan but I will defend him here. Have certain drives been bad this year? Certainly, but for the most part, he's been fairly balanced. FTR, I don't him as an OC in 2013. Although we could do worse.

We scored 30+ points in 9 games this season. That should equal 9 wins.

Chaney may have questionable play calling at times, but our offense was fine this year. And I don't care who your OC is, there will always be calls us fans see as "questionable".

I think Chaney has been dogged on more than he ever deserved. Our offense has never been a problem and a lot of questionable play calling has to do with working inexperienced players into plays as well as calling plays that work in practice but may or may not work in a game. Our lack of a running game until Jay showed up tied Chaney's hands and yet we were still one of the most high-powered and top rated offenses in the nation.

The offense was never the problem.

I for one hope he's one of the next 2 sob's to go! Can't stand his pathetic ass play calling! I hope he starts packing after the game is over!

Ok Saban,

I for one would like to know your OC coaching record? Also while I'm at it, tell us your resume in the realm of CFB?

I also bet you could do a better job of announcing a ball game than Kesling?

Oh yeah and I'm sure you would make a much better president than Obama, OK I rescind that remark.

Although its highly unlikely but I wouldn't mind if Chaney stayed. I was glad he stayed when LK left and I wish him the best in the future!! Thanks for all you did Coach!!

Chaney will have his choice of jobs.

Props to him, Dooley could've found a way to lose this game.

When you have multiple 3rd and 1's in the SEC, with a run game averaging 160 yards a game, and not one single time do you run the ball, your playcalling is suspect, regardless of overall point output.

That's just a cold, hard fact.

When you have the game in hand with two mins left, and all you need to do is keep the ball out of the other teams hands, and you have a first down, and you elect to pass instead of run, your play calling is suspect.

That's just a cold, hard fact.

First of all i want to say thanks for being a Tennessee Vols coach through these last 4 years. You have been through two coaches also. I know the way our offense preformed this year you will have a job before the 2013 season starts. I hope the new coach of the Vols takes a look at you. But if not best of luck you will be a OC for someone next year. Again i say Thanks.
