Word is Jimbo will get asked about this and say no comment that his team is getting ready for Florida.

Word has it that Jimbo will work this for yet another raise from the Noles as he does most every year

Edit, Coach O remains a candidate as well. In other words if everyone else spurns them

The numbers I am hearing are quite insane, but far from a done deal. My take, let Jimbo come but throwing money is not really the answer. imo It would be nice if college football returned to being a school activity. I'm all for Coach O being offered if there is a plan for a real good OC and keeping Aranda as DC.

I'm surprised LSU spoke with him again after last year although on paper it would make a good hire.

Jimmy Sexton is his agent, its what Sexton does. Remember he waived Fisher and Gundy in front of us and got both of them raises. Typical Sexton.

I wouldn't leave FSU for LSU. Heck I wouldn't leave FSU for any place, except Tennessee of course. FSU has been one of the most winningest programs the last 40 years. Bowden built a powerhouse and Fisher has inherited it and done a great job as well. He has become the face of that program, it's been his home for years, his kids are in school there, the facilities are just as nice as LSU, if not better, and I know money won't be an issue.

However, as a coach he may strive to accept new challenges and winning in the SEC is a different breed than winning in the ACC. The competition is not the same week in week out. But why would you want to come compete with Saban? Lol

More recently lost to Louisville by 43 points.

No one gives a damn about 3 years ago in sports.

Louisville surprised everyone. The 43 point loss doesn't matter nearly as much as losing to UNC at home IMO.

Jimbo may want to hit a reset button with a new fan base.

That same Louisville team got skull dragged by Houston two weeks ago. Point is you can play your best football the same day your opposition plays their worst football. Granted that's a bad loss, it wouldn't play out like that 9/10 times.

Saban will be gone soon enough and the dominance in the west would be up for grabs. I think he's working this for a raise but you never know. This might pick up some steam in the coming weeks.

I haven't put much (any?) thought into it, but it seems LSU could better than Jimbo. But just who would that be? The choice could/will determine whether they excel or retreat. Will it be a Dooley or a Saban?

In some imaginary world where I was an acclaimed college football coach, LSU would be a pretty good second choice.
