Jimbo Fisher to LSU?

Agreed. Tuition at UT has increased 500% over the past 20 years. Regular students/parents paying for their education are getting screwed royally.

I blame the lottery money for artificially driving up the price.

Yep.

By the way, Jimbo turned down LSU, which is why LSU is zeroing in on Herman. Per Schlabach

I'm not sure what I missed but now they're saying Strong will be retained or at the least the president of the school wants to keep him if Herman goes to LSU. I thought they canned Strong?

Interesting. Not saying you are wrong, just a difference of opinion. I'd take the bayou over anything in Florida. But I carry some baggage.

Haha baggage. Like your not allowed in the state of Florida lol? Just playing....

The day after they "fired" him they back tracked. A few players said they were going to boycott this weekends TCU game if they fired him. So they came out and said they would evaluate Strong at seasons end. I wish he would have told them to shove it haha.

lol I guess that's what I get for not reading things closely enough. Between that headline and seeing where they had players threatening to boycott the TCU game I just assumed and we all know what assuming does.

Kind of sounds like he's got the Les Miles treatment and his was warranted

I stand corrected. Even former elite players get bad info. Sorry fellas.

You trade playing Clemson yearly for Bama yearly. Dumb move.

Exactly. He's in a really good spot at FSU. Excellent brand recognition, fertile recruiting base, and in the ACC where the road is usually smoother than the SECW with Bama, Auburn, LSU annually. He'd be nuts to leave FSU for LSU IMO. He's sitting pretty right now. Have Sexton try to get a raise and sit tight. That's the smart play.

Herman to LSU
Fisher stays at FSU
Kiffin to.... Texas.....

He has that luck.

They're announcing the LSU HC at noon central time. Herman is meeting with Texas officials later in the afternoon.

Well, sounds like the Longhorns may be left at the alter

Left at the CHANGE? I see it differently. They're going to be announcing a new HC in Baton Rouge and Herman will be in Austin. This spells out Ogre.

Only thing that makes sense is LSU has a bird in hand(Ogre) and and offers to Herman and Jimbo. They would prefer to take one of those two but are prepared to announce Ogre at noon if neither accepts? I've not heard any other names being tossed around for the LSU job. Really pegged Herman as the choice for LSU. Surely they wouldn't seriously consider Ogre permanently?

I hope it's O, he's funny as shat to interview and I seriously doubt he'll bring championships to the Bayou

That's precisely why I don't want him at LSU. Someone, anyone needs to take Bama down from the top of the totem pole. A strong LSU is better for college football IMO.

Must've struck out on everyone. Settling with Ed

Either they want to coach at LSU or they don't. Countering with a $70m hc package and a $100+m coaching package is a good way of not even getting to the pitcher's mound.

Bama will not be kings for life. Take that to the bank
