Jimmy Clausen

Well I hate to say it, but I doubt he comes to UT. There is a lot ahead of him here and is going to want to play early.

I'm all for adding highly skilled depth, but let's face the fact that Jimmy is going to want to play as soon as possible and that Crompton is UT's QB of the future if he's as good as advertised. Do not forget that most of the members of this site and board are firmly attached to the Crompton bandwagon (as am I).

Joey Harrington

Akili Smith
AJ Feeley

Yeah, Tedford sucks at turning out NFL level QB's. :ermm:

Take our Dilfer and you have 4 NFL QB's who suck

The fact is he puts those QB's in positions where it's possible to succeed, and I'm sure Jimmy has the confidence to pull it through if he wants.

Tedford has still done a better job coaching QB's than any CFB coach in the last 25 years.

He may have sent them to the NFL but one huge knock on Rodgers is that Tedford's throwing motion doesn't work in the NFL and apparently that is coming true with almost everyone of his QB's suffering tremendously at the next level.

Not much good if you can't succeed at the NFL level.

Well... First off, Rodgers just got drafted so it's years too early to pass judgement on him. Joey Harrington is slowly but surely getting better, Dilfer we all know is good, and Feeley and Smith... Well yeah. But the track record is pretty good, and like I said, nobody produces QB Draft Picks like Tedford. Period.

As they used to say in the old beer commercials "I love ya man" but what have the aforementioned qbs "done for me lately". Like U_T said, Dilfer is the only one to make any noise and where is he now?

Harrington almost lost his job during the pre-season even though he had very good pre-season games.

In addition, Detroit always wins their first game...something like four years in a row.

Harrington until he proves otherwise has been a huge bust so far.

I think Dilfer was pretty horrible until his Baltimore stint as well.

Alls I'm saying is if I were a highly-recruited QB, I would defintiley look at Tedford just because he always seems to have a top-notch QB at the helm.

Why would you want to go there? Championship tradition?

Well, Jimmy is looking at going to South Carolina.

Don't try and play around it. "South Carolina" and "winning traditions" do not belong in the same sentence, and you know it.

I disagree. South Carolina has a rich tradition of winning on the football field

Whats the low down on Matt Simms? I dont want to try and compair him with his brothers decision making.
Is he legit, and id find it hard pressed CPF would pursue him to seriously unless he (Simms) showed some major interests.

Not only that, while they weren't winning they filled up their stadium every Saturday. Now they have Darth Visor, dammit....
