Jimmy Clausen

I really doubt that Jimmy Clausen will be a Volunteer much like Eli Manning took his own path.

I guess people are all entitiled to come on here and post their opinion. But, these posts like "I doubt he is coming to UT" and "I think Notre Dame is the leader" is all ridiculous. He is a junior and none of you know him personally and there is no in-depth recruiting info on him yet...because he is only a junior. I would say that for no other reason than his brothers playing at UT, his parents living in Knoxville now, and Rick being a Grad Asst that UTK will be among his final list. But, as to where he will go we are going to have to wait quite a while to get any real idea.

That logic makes absoluey no application to this totally different situation. Is Jimmy's dad a legendary QB at a major college?

milo the fact remains his QB's do not do well in the NFL and all have had to have their throwing motions changed. He's an average coach that has had a decent string of QB's.

... Which is still more than most coaches can say at the college level.

Either way, where Jimmy goes is still entirely up in the air. Fact is he's got every university in the country wrapped around his finger.

Yeah, Tedford sucks at turning out NFL level QB's. :ermm:

Ask yourself how well each have done in the NFL before talking...

I said they bust in the NFL and every single one of them have done so.

Please start thinking before making posts, thank you.

Akili Smith is the only one that I would call an out and out bust. Rodgers hasn't been aroun long enough, and the other guys have at least gotten significant playing time. Dilfer is no world beater, but he does have a ring.

You're right, Dilfer has a Super Bowl record even.

The only QB to ever win a Super Bowl and have a lower than 50% completion percentage in that game, he should be proud.

Harrington is well on his way as well with his barely over 50% compeltion percentage and 167 yards on Sunday against the Packers, then again he ONLY has Charles Rogers, Mike Williams, and Roy Williams at WR with Marcus Pollard at TE and Kevin Jones running the ball.

Name any other coach who has even put that many QB's in the NFL in recent history.

FEELEY? Milo... Bro... have you seen the Dolphins play?
I do think Tedford is a good QB coach, but not any better than Cut is, or Norm Chow, who is now the OC for the Titans.

I still think it is too early to think about where Jimmy is going to decide to go. Think about all the things that can and WILL happen in the next year and a half.

:disappointed:

Like dan4vols said, just give credit where credit is due.

Tedford has had an unbelievable amount of success with bigtime QB's at the college level and at least getting them their shot in the bigs. Facts are facts. There's no bias there, that's just the way it is. Period.

I don't see Clausen going to Cal anyways, if Kevin Riley works out.

I never denied that he hasnt had success at a college level, what I'm saying is that it hasn't translated to the NFL.

Which is why I say that Jimmy Clausen should stay away from him if he wants to be a stud in the NFL.
