JJJ hurts us on offense and its apparent when he’s gone

Its true. He hucks up a lot of 3s and mid range shots. Can’t drive it to the rim. Great defender and “glue guy”. But JJJ is better when he’s on the bench.

Against Vanderbilt he had 28 minutes of play went 1-7, 2 pts, 5 brds and a steal. Not great minutes for our senior 5*.

Against Florida he had 29 minutes of play and went 2-11. Finishing with 4 pts, 7 rebounds and an assist.

We look better without him clogging our offense.
This aged poorly. What an incredible acclamation.

This thread is a perfect microcosm for the regulars vs the idiots just passing by to spew negativity. Everyone in here clowning this guy and OP hasn’t posted in the BB forum in 2 weeks.
He actually used to be a very regular poster in this forum way back in the day. He was a huge Derek Reese believer, which is the irony of it all, because Derek Reese couldn't hold JJJ's jock.

iKrager was a pretty decent poster, otherwise.

JJJ played great on his return today. Let’s hope he can keep it up as he has historically been very streaky on offensive end. He contributes in so many areas if he could be consistent over the next month shooting the ball much like he was on that 10-12 game run last year, we could make a decent showing in the tournament.

I’ve been pretty regular since I graduated HS in 2014 (was too focused on playing hoops before then lol) and thought I remembered him from that era-ish. Haven’t seen him on here often lately tho. Maybe we will have a new Derek Reese corner 3 specialist (specialist used in the loosest of terms) to come save our three point shooting woes.

Yup. It’s the same on the baseball board. And on “fans” who tweet about baseball and basketball on Twitter. These people only comment when there’s negativity to spew. Which is ironic, since they’re only now engaged because Barnes/Vitello made each sport good again.

Regardless of a good day or bad day offensively for JJJ, you still have to guard and prepare for him which takes away a good defender of the other team and frees up other players.

When we are at full strength we are a tough match up, period. Plus he is another leader on the floor that sees what others do not. Add to it his defense.

If it makes you feel any better, I only ever go to the baseball forum during big games to talk well about the team lol. I love baseball, but have yet to get emotionally invested in UT baseball - love watching them, but it doesn’t bother me when they lose like football and hoops. It’s honestly way more healthy, I wish I could say the same about the other sports.

The non conference baseball schedule is an absolute joke every year. It's not even watchable save for a game or two till SEC play starts.
