I'm sure that he was but there was a disconnect somewhere. There weren't any doctors favorably comparing the impact of the Coronavirus to the seasonal flu. Rush Limbaugh called the Coronavirus the common cold. Trump didn't go that far, but he was clearly trying to minimize it.

Our lobbies are closed until further notice - at least two weeks. That means my manager, tellers and operations manager are the only ones allowed in. I'm essentially furloughed. I e-mailed my manager earlier to ask if I could use my two weeks of paid vacation this month, so I can still get paid? Nope.

...and I don't put anyone on ignore. I'm not even sure if you can do that anymore.

I've heard people describe the economy this way most of my life.

Well, technically it's an accurate thing to say at any time bc the Fed ensures the economy's always inflated. Even in recessions we aren't falling to natural GDP levels. The Fed defenders tend to admit we get more recessions than a freer market would, but their claim is the recessions/depressions aren't as bad.

I guess you'd view me as a Fed defender and I'll play the part by pointing out that this isn't true. We just went 10 years without a recession.

You are totally right. I had it backwards. Recessions happened all the time. The argument is that they're worse now when they do happen. Obviously it can't be decided either way, since 19th century data can't reasonably compare with 20 and 21st. It's just a theoretical argument

Something tells me it was heeded..... I’m pretty sure China has sh** the bed in more ways than one. I’m guessing they’ll be some various forms of global blowback
