The President gets too much credit when the economy is going well and he gets too much blame when an unexpected crisis hits and things turn sour. By the time Jimmy Carter took office in January of 1977, could he have done anything to stop the energy crisis? No, it was too late to do anything by that point, but he still took the brunt of the blame for the state of the economy. Anyone using this current crisis as a weapon against President Trump is acting as a political opportunist. However, based on Trump's tweets and his Fox News interviews regarding the swine flu of 2009, one can safely conclude that both Donald Trump and Fox News would have weaponized that crisis as a political tool and completely blamed it on Barack Obama had the circumstances been the same as what we are currently faced with. That is what opportunists do, and Trump is just as much of an opportunist as any Democrat and Fox News isn't above doing exactly what CNN and MSNBC are doing right now either.

Most Americans read on something like a 7th grade level. I remember in college I took a speed reading class and that was one of the things they pointed out.


I thought it was pretty interesting.

Do you mean that Fox news is now censoring the daily white house Corona Virus task force briefings? Calling them Trump rallies?

No, I mean if the circumstances had been the same in 2009, and the country was on lock down their coverage would have been comparable. Fox News would not have aired Obama's press conference live. They would show an edited version later, once they had a chance to pick it apart and include their own spin with it. And yes, they would probably justify such a decision by calling them "Obama rallies".

There is a very clear distinction between how Fox News covered Obama's presidency vs how they have covered Trump. Under Obama, playing golf on a regular basis was bad. So was signing executive orders and issuing pardons... under Trump? Not so much.

Did I say I was happy? No. Do I think the woman got what she deserved. Yes. She died from her own stupidity. Too many Americans are conspiracy theorists, anti-science and think everything they disagree with is fake news. Darwinism happened to her. I hope people learn from her example.

Who gives AF when Presidents are traveling? I don't. But I said the only problem I had with Obama was the "20" (second time out) after the ISIS beheadings and then promptly finishing up the back 9. Presidents can run the country from anywhere they are. But your argument has zero validity when you hint the media coverage is equal when the right has one network Fox and the left has all the rest of the major organizations ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC. and any "evidence" you state about Fox not covering matters of national security are just bs because it didn't happen.

I'm giving Obama the benefit of the doubt. He may have shot a personal best on the front 9, and wanted to finish while he was hot.
