Her contention is that by making moderate Republicans vote on Articles of Impeachment, it runs the risk of those moderate Republicans in Biden districts of losing their seats.

Mace also wants Republicans to have more moderate views on Abortion and women's issues.

Those 5 Republicans who said they are opposed to a vote on articles of impeachment could very well change their mind if a vote comes up in the House. If they vote NO, they would be voting to acquit Joe Biden, Donald Trump's arch enemy. A NO vote would be the same as voting yes on the Trump impeachment.

Of the 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump, 8 of them were either defeated or did not run for reelection.

A majority, 55%, also believe the now-president has acted inappropriately regarding the so-called investigation into his son.

If you asked the 55 percent who supposedly believe that president acted inappropriately, what the president did, virtually none of them could
answer the question. They're just people who don't like Democrats. This is just a political stunt by the GOP--and rest assured the GOP members of Congress understand that.

I was not being sarcastic. There a lot of posters on this board who are lifelong conservatives/Republicans. The vast majority of conservatives/Republicans supported the post 9/11 homeland security measures and the Iraq war. There are very few who will admit to either of those things now.

I supported the Iraq war - it was a mistake.

I did not support the Patriot Act and all the permutations since - I was correct.

I think the Iraq War - to presidential investigation link is an odd analogy but whatever. FTR, I support investigating Biden but not via impeachment inquiry.

I connect the two, because I think that most of the "conservatives" who argue against either of them now, argued for both of them then.
