Question seems to be loaded.... But then ESPN has a big influence on this and Lunardi saying yes is a good thing.

Nothings a done deal yet. If UT loses the last three theyll be right back out on their ears.

TCB Vols, and youre in.

Won't take losing all 3 to miss out. Probably just 1 unless they make a good run in the SEC tourney. Still precarious given the weakness of the SEC, better win all 3 to be as sure as you can be.

I dunno why but i remember that well. St. Johns was left out despite having a good record because their best player had just gotten hurt. That was the rumor as to why the selection committee left them out anyway.
Dickie V went crazy over it

We handle our business with UGA and Auburn and I think we are in a good spot. If we beat Missouri than bank on it, we are in. If we lose to Mizzou, I think winning a tournament game would seal the deal.

Lunardi just updated Bracketology, and left UT completely off the board. He didn't even put them in the 'First Four Out' or 'Next Four Out'. I'm assuming it was an oversight.

Things like that make me wonder if it is an "if the selection is now" choice, or if he takes in account future games. If it is an "if the tournament started tomorrow" deal, I think I agree with it. However, looking ahead, I don't.

Evidently losing to GA has caused him to upgrade us to first four out in front if UK. I think it's a load of crap. We are done.

Ky lost today. Bama lost today. Ole Miss lost to an atrocious Miss St team that is down to 5 scholarship players. All the SEC bubble teams lost today.

What are your numbers and stats saying?

OH wait, you don't have any.

Yeah, we really lucked up with all of the other SEC bubble teams getting beat.

My stats are telling me.....two out of three quality wins came against teams who had injury problems to key personnel. I love you elitist bball posters. Us being in front of UK is enough to discredit Lunardi. Uk is not the same team they were a month ago.

Again, can you give me RPI/BPI, UT's record in last ten games, good wins vs. bad losses, how we compare to other bubble teams, etc. instead of making blanket statement with no facts?

I like the elitist poster argument. As if there is such a thing.

Exactly. The committee takes injuries in account regarding who will be on the floor during the tournament. So, what UK did with Noel is not that big since Noel won't be back for the tournament. However, the losses without Golden are not as bad because Golden will play in the tournament.

Despite your username, evidently you know little about basketball.

I know this.....when your team is always needing others to lose to keep your hopes alive....your not an NCAA worthy team. We had a good run. Had some help with injuries from UF and UK but we can't run with the big boys. Time to make those Nit plans.

compare UTs bad losses to other bubbles teams bad losses and tell me why UT shouldnt be right up there with them.

Your right. They are going to look at his game today and think ...... That's a guy that can lead a team to the finals. Please take your orange colored glasses off.

You don't know much about the tournament process.

It happens ever year with every bubble team.

Also, can you show me where it is guaranteed we make the NIT and not the NCAAT? Wait, what's that? You can't because the season's not over? Okay.
