A shark type shark.Anybody say what type of shark that was? I ain't even gonna guess cause 82_VOL_83 will come in here and say something else. Matter of fact, @82_VOL_83 what kind of shark was that Joe posted a picture of?
It could be a young lemon, or a young half a dozen other similar types. But how can you use the snout/mouth of the one in my picture when you can't even see it?Look more closely at the snout/mouth of Joe’s catch, and the similar size dorsal fins. It resembles a young lemon shark.
I’ve eaten shark. It wasn’t bad, but it’s not something I eagerly seek to repeat.
its not bad tasting & I liked it blackened, but quit eating it because of the high mercury that I read about -- oddly it said the same about tunaI've really enjoyed shark. Think it has to be certain types for best flavor, and time of year is important. It can't be when meat has red/bloody tints at certain times. Best when during times it's clean & clear. I always marinated in Italian Dressing and grilled. Not sure of all the specifics of why their meat is cleaner certain times verses others, but was told that first time I bought some steaks.
