John Adams makes light of CBJ's "Power of One" slogan

I know Adams is not the most popular writer in K-Town but people continue to click on his links and read his articles. He knows his quirky journalism generates interest whether you like or dislike him.

Precisely why I did NOT click on the Link. :hi:

"Power of one." Could work, still remember the golden oldie, the "power of love." Just stay away from the "red team" stuff.

I have ONE word to describe your article on Butch Jones new team slogan.....LAME.

I tried to keep a fairly open mind about Adams until now, giving him some slack because he is a "journalist." No more, Adams is a "journalist" who has run out of ideas when it comes to sports reporting. This article is an all time low for the KNS! Adams wants a reaction. Vol fans from, this point forward, should quit reading ANYTHING In the KNS until this "journalist" is let go! IGNORE HIM!

Wow, that was a horrible article. Even I could have made an article insulting our new slogan more entertaining.

This guy probably spent 15 minutes writing this article, and got paid for it. That's amazing.

I thought it was kind of funny.

All of the slogans and catch-phrases are a bit sophomoric. Just play football.

The reason he has to use slogans, is because he walked into a team with no confidence who have won a total 21 games in the past 4 years.... We sucked and have had no idea what it's takes to win. Slogans help remind young men, that losing much like most things in life can become a habit.... And it certainly seems to have become ours in the past few years.

He has never been a "Journalist", he is a "Columnist"

He writes his opinion, not reports on what is actually happening.

That said, I never agree with him and he simply steals oxygen on this planet.

In response to my post about my email I sent to John Adams....he replied, "Not as lame as a coach making it the theme for his season."

Have voiced similar comments to KNS about Adams in the past. As long as McElroy is there that rag will be yellow, like Adams.

Lighten up people my gosh.

No! Adams is the absolute worst, and I do mean WORST! sportswriter for a major print paper I've ever had the misfortune to have read. I cancelled my subscription to the Sentinel because of him close to two decades ago. I'll not re-subscribe to any of their products as long as he's there. KNS can go bankrupt for all I care.

Yeah, KNS is not fit to line the bottom of a bird cage.

It sounds like he has totally missed the point that you can't "make results." You can only control what you are doing right now. That's why you only have one moment, one play, one practice exc. to focus on.

The results come from good behaviors.

I stopped reading his drivel about 10 years ago and stopped paying for that fairly useless paper at the same time. I don't click links that I know are his and I am waiting for the day he leaves to maybe start buying that paper again. Most of the people I know feel the same.

My email battle with Adams continues....his comment is in black...mine in orange...

As you typed that rubbish did you think to yourself, "I'm ONE clever guy!"

Did you stop to think you are the only ONE laughing at it?

Do you realize I'm not the only ONE that thinks your piece flat out sucks?

Did Jesse Smithey ask you to not mention his name with this garbage as ONE of your colleagues?

You would've been better off if ONE desperate soul would've bothered you so this had never been posted.

Sadly...the byproduct of that ONE dog treat will end up being more pleasant and productive than this ONE piece of excrement you produced.

All of the slogans and catch-phrases are a bit sophomoric. Just play football.

It's all non-sense; pep talks, Inky Johnson, the Seven Maxims, the "I will give my all to Tennessee" sign, heck even running through the T.

They play on the emotions of these kids so much that when its time to play, they need a nap.

Imagine the energy and concentration available if they could warm up in the complex, get bused to the gate (out of sight from the fans) and walk out and just play the game!
