Crank his tractor, float his boat, peel his banana, spank his monk......nevermind.

Aside from Chaney admitting he gave up on the run to early against Florida, I have yet to see any player state they quit in the game. Now granted I do live in Knoxville and I am around campus a lot since my daughter attends and lives on campus. Can someone provide a link that says the players quit on DD against Florida? If no link then your analogy is nothing more than butt hurt syndrome.

“It was a good football game,” Dooley said, “and we’re sitting there and we just gave up.”

Big difference. One can teach how to handle adversity, one can learn too.

So we either have coaches that have not taught how to handle adversity very well, or we have players that can't learn it. I would add that we may also have coaches that do not handle it well.

Adversity for this program is not a new subject so when it hits it shouldn't be a surprise.

At the end of the season we will see what is in store for our football Vols, it really doesn't matter what the fans want or feel they deserve. The decision will lie with Hart and the Board of Trustees and how the finances are lined up. It is up to the fans to support the university and the team, if you don't think or feel that way than perhaps being a Vols fan is not your calling.

If he loses Saturday and goes 0 for in Oct, I think we'll know sooner.

Correction....at the end of October.

I do support the University and the team, and up until recently the coach.

Change is coming, but October will be painful.

This is one of the best threads in the history of Volnation. I would dare to say that the Negas are actually the sunshine pumpers. There is so much hope and joy in this thread.

We have to derive hope from somewhere. It keeps us going. The hope can't be derived from Doolander.

You will know before the end of the season what you have either way. UT should be expected to win the last 4 games. Short of losing them they shouldn't factor into the decision very much.

That doesn't mean you will hear an official decision.

Glad to see u got it Wylo b/c I tried to get your correct e-mail last night and didn't get a response in time..I know u posted it earlier in the thread but didn't feel like scanning thru hundreds of posts.:p

I never did get it, and I was one of the first to request it yesterday afternoon.

No matter....I got the gist of it on the board.

It will matter what the fans want when there are 20k empty seats in the stadium on a regular basis.
