I'm just sitting here wondering how I missed a thread that's 234 pages long. Have I been in a coma?

People will have patience with a coach that has fire in his eyes, hungry for the win at all costs. People will wait for success if our failures are not 90% attitude and 10% talent. People, at least myself, will have an idea that he CAN lead this team back to prominence. Dooley IS NOT that coach!

god this argument is old, but it would be a slam dunk hire. not sure I see it happening, I see it more than gruden to arkansas though.

Gruden got fired from Tampa Bay for losing. He was 22/26 his last 3 years. He won the Super Bowl with Dungy's team. He was like Fulmer. He won the big one and then slid into mediocrity.

I don't understand the infatuation with this guy. I believe we have some delusional fans.

This thread exists because we got our current coach the same way we did our field goal kicker.....we pulled him out of the hat as a last resort. Last resort hires rarely work out, and as much as I want Gruden I have to admit I want Dooley gone whether Gruden comes or not. There are literally dozens of names I would rather have then Doolure.

Dooley has yet to reach mediocrity, much less slide back into it. JG is the answer.

Once upon a time,a few years ago in the land called bama. Where Internet wackos that made a claim that the land called bama was hiring someone of the Saban nature. These wackos were rudely treated, made fun of, ridiculed. But they kept their faith strong and we all know how the story ends! After all, he would NEVER leave the land of Miami.

he wasn't their first target (or even the second). Saban isn't in bama if RR signs his contract

Pj, just where did I say he was their first target? Since I live in bama, I kind of know what happened. How many Tide Pride members do you know personally? And do you live in bama too?

I don't care who you claim to know. If you want to present that coaching search as all raindows and lollipops that started and ended with Saban riding in on his white horse then be my guest. It is nothing like what is being presented in this thread

Been discussed adnauseum. The Bucs mortgaged their future for a chance at a Super Bowl and Chucky delivered. They gave up two first round and two second round picks just to get Chucky on the sidelines. With an aging team that made it more difficult to stay on top. His Raiders team beat the Pats but for a ridiculous tuck rule call. Gruden vs Saban would be legendary. Forget the Saban disciples.

Doolure...hmmm, he come out with a new fishing line? These names you all come up with are cute. I know you were trying to get failure incorporated somehow in his name, but that's a pretty poor attempt at an insult.

Why add words to what I said? Again, I never said Saban was their first choice. Please show me where I said that please. I only said it ended with Saban and nothing more. The first rumors of Saban to bama came over the Internet.
