ok then tell me how it's comparable to this Gruden story. Unless we approach multiple coaches, get turned down (even at the 11th hour) and then throw the bank at Gruden there are zero similarities

I have no problem with Dooley accepting the job. He hit the lottery. I do have a problem with knowing winning the east is out of the question as well as the SEC at a school like Tennessee. I supported him even with the evidence up to the Florida game. I realized then that the UF streak is going to ten years if we do not change. We cannot beat UF when they are beatable. We are actually looking at three in a row against the Cocks and the leg humpers. Order must be restored.

Is it not common knowledge that when Hamilton was our AD that Gruden turned us down twice? Was Gruden our first choice? Just how many coaches did we talk to after Kiffin left? I think the answer is multiple.

current situation. If we target and get one coach then it's not close

The stars lined up perfectly for Bama to get Saban. 1) Rich Rod turned them down initially way before Saban did his infamous denial of the job at the Miami press conf; 2) Saban saw that his Miami gig was not going to end well; and 3) Mal Moore and the bama boosters were relentless after Saban after RR turned them down. They were due the good karma after Franchione, Price, Shula. I hope we're finally due some good karma too if it comes to that.

PJ you can only target one coach at a time. Having multiple offers for one job would lead to a nightmare if all choose to take the job don't you think?
